Was talking to someone who was at Living Legends and said that the new owners and some of the vendors had a very good discussion about the prices that the previous owner were charging for vendors. Hopefully, there will be some good changes made that will be beneficial for everyone.
I remember passing the "Terrorfied Forest" on D19 when we were up there for Tippmann. There was a flea market/general store there.
My wife went in there once and said the people were really nice, but didn't have anything interesting.
I figured Dave was doing the haunted zombie walk a while ago, but it possibly didn't draw enough in for his taste (quick, easy $).
Maybe these folks can pull that off.

Anyone know if the event next year will be around the same time and still be 4 days of play? That could definitely be worth the 10hr drive to check out. They offer camping on site?

There is camping kinda on site. It's ran by the old owner next door but the driveways lead right to the field. They still have sites open as of today.

Death Ball is indeed different. It has skulls all over it. I saw a picture today.

While that is stupid, I guess I’m glad to see anyone paying attention to the place enough to commission new custom paint. Hopefully they get back to more quality reffing, etc as part of this. Maybe we’ll get another decade out of the place.

I’m pretty sure whatever the replacement is for Monster Game next year it will look very similar. Three or four days I don’t know. They say it will be BYOP still which is what really defines Monster Game for me.

Death Ball is supposedly a step up in grade/stars but they are offering it for the same price as the lower grade stuff. It's a red fill... Let's hope that it doesn't stain pink like the ultra pigmented stuff that was going into the ICPL paint. My zebra mask and a bunch of my soft goods are still stained from a few years ago.

How many people this game usually draw?

I think they normally are getting 800-1300 in the past couple years. The low point was probably 400, highs were in the low 2000's. I've been going for twenty five years, it's a fun game, and would easily suggest it if it's a drive away.

For some reason even though I’ve posted to this thread and subscribed to it it does not show up in my post history or my subscriptions. Also the title of the thread has both “2023” and “2024” in it making it at first confusing to find. I had to search my browser history to post this. I MUST REALLY LOVE PAINTBALL! #growthesport

So anyway…I’m still trying to figure out exactly which days to go so I’m looking at the schedule and such and I see that Thursday is “shields”. Thanks to this thread I know what that is. I don’t see it explained anywhere on HS’s website but whatever. It sounds cool. I may go Thursday.

For Friday it just says “ARMAGEDDON” and later refers to winners of ARMAGEDDON going on to have some sort of advantage that they will carry into the weekend…which is strange to me because traditionally “armageddon” is at the end of something, like The Bible or WWIII, after which nobody has anything but here it’s a prequel I guess. Anyway, can anyone explain WTF ARMAGEDDON is because the new owners of Hell Survivors assume that I know this. If ARMAGEDDON is something I can ignore and just go out there and get hit while trying to shoot yellows…my usual spaced out thing…then I may go Friday. If it requires mags or costumes or some such then screw it.

Saturday and Sunday are described as “Monster Game” which they do go on to define so I don’t have any questions there.

Cut and paste title mistake on my part for 2023/2024, no clue what Armageddon is, but I think that's a cut and paste from previous years.

I got a prompt email reply about something totally different, so would suggest just sending a quick email and asking if its magfed/pump or requires full costumes.,.
