    Thanks guys, any advice on removing the feedneck if this thing turns out to be usable and not a show piece lol

        I think I just wrapped mine in a towel and stuck it in a vice....

        I've found slitting a PVC pipe or coupling provides a great soft jaw for vice grips.

            Yes this or cut some old garden hose in half. And wood cuttoffs in the bench vise.
