...where is not supposed to.

I was rebuilding an emag valve this morning and I was just seeing if I could get the power tube cap off by hand. As I did I noticed the main body and the power tube separating.

I could see a red oring inside. Anyhow, It's back together of course, just threaded on. Never had a valve do this.

Oddly, there is a spring in my power tube instead of a spacer as well.

Early automags had a threaded powertube as well as a spring in the powertube to act as a self adjusting spacer (actual spacers are more reliable). Kinda odd that something as late as an emag valve has a threaded powertube and spring spacer.

Not sure what an appropriate solution for the powertube is though...

Spring in the power tube? Power tube unscrewed? On an emag?

These sound like something a very early classic valve would do

Yeah I was surprised by the spring unless a previous owner didn't have a spacer kit and modified it.

The power tube is supposed to have a red oring from what I've researched, normally loctited on. I'll hit it with some red loctite, should be ok

Updating thread, I got issues after rebuild

All is good, got air today and gun airs up as supposed to and fires nicelu.

Level 7 welded the powertube so that wouldnt happen. Loctite it back on and dont get any on the oring.
