    Safety for 32* frame?

Also sent this to AGD, but since it isn’t their frame I figured I’d ask here as well.
Picked this up on Craigslist a few weeks ago and am finally getting to it. I know I’ll need a $25 parts kit to replace the seals, wire detents, and rusty spring, and a pack of foamies.

This 32* (DYE?) frame doesn’t have a safety switch. Anyone know if one of the standard AGD safety rebuild kits will work with this grip frame? Or if not, where a safety switch kit could be found?

I tried moving the safety over from my classic direct feed mag, but the fit was so tight I couldn’t operate the safety.

Tim at AGD suggested I contact Luke’s Customs. Is he on here? His contact form on his website seems to be broken. Or at least it gives no indication that the Send button works 😏

Just checked/tested the website contact form and it seems to be working fine.
I have standard AGD Intelli type safeties, no clue if they fit that frame though

Hope you didn’t get spammed by my clicking the SEND button on your form…

Are the Intelli safeties made for the OG aluminum frames? Here’s the other mag I have. These are my first mags, so I’m not we’ll steeped in the lore, history, and part compatibility.

So that's where those went, nice grab.

Let me dig through my parts, if I remember right I may have a safety button kicking around but I'm not actually sure what it goes to.

Mags are a ton of fun. I think Tom Kaye was way ahead of his time because they can compete with today's modern mechs. I absolutely love my mag and at this point it probably sees the most use out of anything in my bag.

You two need to come over at some point and we can hang out, Super Nova and Lt. head-shot might be up for it as well

Sounds like a great idea! I saw these show up and didn’t want to let them go. I was impressed with your mag at SuperGame and have been keeping my eyes peeled for some time now.

I did think of one last line of attack on this - swapping the trigger itself. The 32* frame has a plastic trigger with a different shape. Maybe a stock metal trigger would work with the stock safety on the 32* frame. Will report back when I have time to swap things out.

The safeties are all the same in the Dye, 32 degrees, and AGD frames. Some aftermarket frames were so poorly out of spec that they couldnt get the safety to work, or the sear hitting the frame was a problem too. Most needed some milling or hogging out to get them to work.

Seemed like that was the issue. I could get the safety to click back & forth without the trigger installed but once I had everything installed it would jam up. Glad I’m not alone I guess
