Make sure the oring to the left in your reg pin pic actually fits over that brass piece. If it does not it is the wrong oring.

Regulator valve pin is now placed and looks significantly better.

I’ve also swapped the blue bumper from the Classic valve rebuilt kit with and clear one for the RT kit and replaced the spring.

Alrighty, I’m continuing to blindly stumble along this mag rebuild, so thank you to those providing helpful tips! I’ve removed the oring and placed in what I believe is the nose of the reg housing. I really should learn what each piece is actually called….

Aired it up and…. Still leaks. Mostly out the rear of the reg but after pulling the trigger leaks worse. I believe I had not properly headed @superman’s suggestion and switched an oring that will fit around the bottom of the crown piece on the valve stem.

One one more little o-ring swap:
Moving the wrong o-ring on the valve pin and replacing it with the black o-ring on my on off.

And success! Well mostly success. Still have a slight leak from the valve but marker seems to fire without issue. Thanks for all the help and hopefully my blind fumbling helps someone else in the future.

And after the brief glimmer of hope, went to shoot a couple balls and trigger is dead. It airs up and moves forward, but trigger no longer shoots or resets.

fixed - reg pressure was too low. Cranked it and would shoot but need to troubleshoot the reg leaks as I am bleeding all my air.

You'll probably need a new reg piston too, I had to replace mine after rebuilding everything else in the valve. They like to cause leaks out the back of the adjuster.

And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Nuts another cheap part that will cost me $100 by the time I get it. I assume it is the same part used in a classic mag? So I might be able to steal it from another mag?

The valve is designed to leak from various areas to indicate where there's a problem, so where exactly is the air leaking from?
No, the reg piston is not the same as a Classic.
The reg piston is made to vent air out the back velocity adjuster when when the valve is over pressurized. The only reason you would need to replace it is if you are chronoed correctly and air is still venting out the adjuster.
But dont forget that there is an oring that needs serviced on the reg piston, if its bad it will also leak.Click image for larger version Name:	reg piston oring.jpg Views:	0 Size:	20.5 KB ID:	873296

I’ll double check that o-ring. I thought I had replaced it. It is leaked directly out the back of the reg. I’ll chrono it as well and see, but the leak seemed to be the same when I reg was so low the trigger would not fire, so should not be an over pressurization issue.
