Any tips for tuning with a hole (rather than slot) slide trigger?

I've built and tuned a half dozen or so Autococker type markers over the years, but all were either sliders with slots for the timing rod or hinge triggers. I've been asked to tune up a friend's ANS GenX which has a hole trigger plate.

He said the last time he used it (many years ago), it "just didn't fire right". I haven't aired it up or done anything except check the obvious stuff (like are the components moving smoothly or binding up anywhere). I know there is less room for error when setting the timing, but not sure how that changes the tuning/adjustment process.

    Any tips would be appreciated.

I've always tuned them relatively the same, but set the sear release a bit earlier in the pull to help with short stroking.

Most older 3ways take 003 orings on the stem... Dye and Shocktech are exceptions, if we're talking the classics.

Thanks, I was thinking the o-rings on the cups in a Blazer switch (my first BZ ate them every few months, so I got good at replacing them). I don't think I have any 003s. But, I gotta get more air to test and make sure that's the issue. It definitely seems to be leaking from the front of the switch regardless of trigger position, so I'm pretty sure that's at least part of the problem. There might also be a leak in the LPR.

I'd take a look at the ram, too... when the internal seal goes it can present as a 3way leak.

Yeah, both o-rings in the switch are shot. Does anyone still sell a "complete" o-ring kit for an Autococker? I checked the ANS website and they don't seem to, but I could probably buy them all individually if I knew which ones I needed.

Thanks for the tip, will be rebuilding a Pre-2K AC soon, and was looking for a good source for an o-ring kit.

Thanks! I'll remember that in the future, but since I needed a Jackhammer rebuild kit, I ordered that and the 3-way o-rings from ANS.
