2K5 Prostock Pump Conversion Best Bolt?

    Hi MCB Braintrust,

I've got a 2K5 Prostock I'm in the middle of converting to pump. I am trying to smooth out the pump stroke.
I've got a ACP Slice Kit and Shocktech lower tube kit installed. I'm getting a lot of drag on the stock bolt due to the large o-rings. Big difference in pump stroke with bolt installed vs. removed.

Wondering if you guys could provide recommendation on a better bolt for pump. Seems a bit tricky to source since it is "EVO" length.
This bolt from ACP is readily available, but it also has 2 o-rings so not obvious if it will be any better. Although the o-rings do look skinnier.

    Thanks!

Have you tried stepping down a size on the bolt oring? For example 015 --> 014 doing so would remove most or all of the benefit of having a bolt with orings but would also reduce drag as less oring would grab the body.

Shocktech has an oring-less evo length bolt.

Just take the orings off, it's a pump it's not really going to matter

Just replace the orings and lightly grease them, the stock 2k5 bolt is super smooth

Smaller o-rings, no o-rings, or the Shocktech bolt

          This is all you need

Otherwise id suggest a Freeflow bolt. Their newer brown bolt use 015 but minimal drag. They are actually STO length like the 05, instead of PBlock length. Plus i swearr the venturi muffles the shot a bit. But Shocktech is a also a great option.

ACP is basically a glorified stock WGP bolt. Better options out there. Don't get me wrong. It not a horrible bolt if you find a used one for cheap. They mainly use 014 with minimal drag. But absolutely not worth the price of a new one.
