Ya, Goldcup, Tippmann, Eclipse, Empire. Doesn't really matter. So long as it isn't water weight like WD40, you're golden.

Outlast. Never dries out. Never gets gummy.

I may have to try this stuff. If the gease is really that sticky (that you need alcohol to remove it) Id give it a run in my Havoc.

It's a thin oil-ish lube, not so much a grease. It's been around forever though, used to be called KC Trouble-Free. I was a big fan of Gold Cup back in the day but got converted to Outlast by a bunch of guys here.

Super Lube air tool lubricant. When you get down to it, paintball markers are nothing but air tools.
        12032 - 32oz
        12016 - 16oz
        12004 - 4oz

I've never noticed any unwarranted o-ring damage. Only time I seem to have o-ring issues is with markers I've bought used and have to rebuild or markers that have sat for many years unused. That damage tends to be from the o-ring being deformed from being in one position vs. any chemical break down.

A gallon! In 5 years I've gone through maybe 3/4 of the 16oz/pint bottle of Super Lube. I don't know if I could go through a gallon before I died.

As for o-rings, I have yet to see any damage due to oil using the Super Lube air tool oil. Air tools use just as many, if not more, o-rings as a paintball marker. Those o-rings will also typically be of the same materials and hardness as in a paintball marker. Air tool o-rings will typically see far more mechanical stress than the o-rings in a paintball marker. If it's good enough for air tools used and abused daily, it should be good enough for paintball markers that are used lightly at best typically once or twice a week.

I have pneumatic tools as well as paintball guns. It was cheap and I still have maybe a quart left. Definitely around 10 years might be time to just buy a smaller bottle of "fresher" air tool oil.

Interesting thought and approach. Might have to try that

I've used Gold Cup for years, and am now stuck in my curmudgeonly ways.

I used to use Gold Cup, but once my old 8oz bottle ran out, and I found the price had doubled, I started searching for options. Nothing wrong with Gold Cup, it's just overpriced these days. My old bottle was from around 2000 and lasted till 2015 (mind you I didn't play from 2002 till 2012). When I bought it, the price was $13, and in 2015 the price was $25 for the same 8oz. The Super Lube is far cheaper, and works just as well.

Absolutely ZERO reason to buy some "special paintball oil" when you can go buy a bag ass bottle of synthetic air tool oil next to nothing.

With that said (and to be fair) having acquired several gear back sellouts over the years, I have likely had to throw away more bottles of lube/oils/grease than any one individual could EVER use. I have everything from the AKA oil, Eclipse, Gold Cup, and much, much more. I seriously have a shoe box full of various oils and greases.
I have noted that of all of them, Gold Cup will turn dark and get thick over time. I have not seen any other of the oils do that. I suspect the AKA and Eclipse oils are a "mineral oil" type. They have stayed clear and good for a long long time.

I've seen lots of people talk about Gold Cup turning dark, but oddly my old 8oz bottle from around 2000 never darkened or broke down before I ran out in 2015. Must have been a lucky batch.

My bottle leaked all over my tool box. That my only gripe with gold cup.

Magnalube grease. The only purpose for which I use oil- PMI I bought a couple decades ago- is to run through the ASA and airways as I air up the gun.

I stopped caring about what oil I used years ago. It's all pretty much the same. I currently have a bottle of exalt vitamin o, specifically because the bottle/cap design doesn't leak.

air tool oil and super lube synthetic grease.

oil for maintenance since it can blow through valves and flow, grease goes on moving parts and o rings when I have guns apart.

I use Dow 33 light and whatever synthetic oil I have on hand. Usually air tool oil or Tippmanns thin clear stuff.

For grease I use hater sauce.

I'm not sure if it's technically a dow33, it feels a little thinner than most but that's the reason I use it. I'm in the Pacific Northwest, I typically thin out my lube a bit anyway. Helps with the cooler temperatures
