Making good use of auto trigger requires that you practice it a lot, like you do in a batting cage or when bowling. It’s part intellectual and part muscle memory. Even a stock class Phantom can “double tap” in a way that is occasionally very useful if you’ve practiced it.

While useless most of the time AT is great for long balling (when you can hold the gun steady enough and shoot enough shots to make it work) and very close freakouts from two feet away. It’s not so great at the medium game when it comes to actually hitting things but I’ve learned that people run from noise more than accuracy…missed shots can control the game more than hits in some ways…

CCMs and the like will offer the best AT experience since the ultra light stroke makes it easier to maintain your target. You still need to time it, need a special tool to remove the valve, etc, and you will pay twice what a Phantom runs to get a nice one. Also the replacement parts can be murder to find for higher end guns so don’t lose or break a single thing.

I picked up a Azodin KP2 many years ago maybe 2013.

it’s been a fun little shooter that’s used most times I hit the field (admittedly not often these days). It’s upgraded now to the point of being essentially a mildly upped kp3. Has a single trigger, cp reg, CP on/off, lever lock clamping feed neck, auto trigger kit and a freak barrel.

I am sure I have way too much into it (hard to say as was upgraded over many years and a lot of parts came from other guns). I’m sure a sniper would have been a better investment. But I got the gun cheap and have used and abused it. To me it’s still that cheap beater I picked up that I don’t mind abusing a bit. It’s nothing to look at. But it always seems to preform just fine. It’s a consistent, decently smooth reliable shooter that’s just fun and stupid easy to maintain.

I would say if you can get a KP3 cheap, I’d go for it they are a great gun to play with. If you want a pump to show off or want to really get serious about pump play maybe a high end sniper build be better choice for you.

If you're gonna look into getting a KP3 at least look into getting a real one, this is the original and best one ... The Sheridan KP-3

Honestly every time this gets bumped up in the recent feed this is what I think of. After all this is MCB.
