MVP - Still possible to get it modded?

    Hey all.

Just picked up my CCM S6.5 and have the opportunity to buy an MVP which I’ve had my eye on for a while. Unfortunately it’s not PNV modded so I’m hesitating.

I’ve shot a modded one once and I did like it a lot as a second pump. However I’m not sure how/where to get an MVP modded nowadays. Is this even an option?

if I can get it modded I believe I will move forward with the sale as the marker is all stock currently. If not I don’t know if it will be worth buying frankly.

Thoughts and direction regarding modding would be very much appreciated.

Docs machine is another likely option too

Ok I’ll look into these thank you. Essentially just looking to see what upgrades outside of the standard PVN mods would be needed. I’ll send some messages!

I get this email, and lo and behold, here's this post.

I've tinkered with a couple MVPs, but generally just the usual minor tuning (mainly respringing) and the occasional minor repairs. I remember looking over the first one I had in the shop, to see if I could cut down the "farting", but the owner traded it off before I could do any experimenting.

I don't know what the "PVN mods" are, specifically, but if there's a writeup or description out there somewhere, I have little doubt I could do the actual work.

      Hey Doc.

Just replied via email as the documentation I have is from another source that shall not be named here. I’m still digging for more info.

I believe you can get ahold of Paul VanNocker (PVN) on Facebook

Working on that presently just in case.

Clearly going with the originator of the mods will be your best bet. If he's not available for whatever reason, hit me up. It sounds like a fun mod- and I can say that, if the two I fiddled with felt and sounded like those other threads described, I'd have liked them quite a bit more. (Not that they seemed like "bad" markers, they just struck me more like they were rushed to market, without enough testing or fine-tuning.)

He actually just responded at this moment. Apparently he still works on 15 or so a year and has multiples on his bench currently.

I very much appreciate it and will be sending you a DM regarding another project sir.

Good to hear. Sadly, there's all too many guys that come up with something good, but can't keep doing/producing it for whatever reason. (Airsmithing, I'm here to tell ya, is not exactly a profitable vocation. )
