I’d like to think so! I definitely have to re-think my storage. Part of the problem is I’m out of space...it’s time to thin out my collection.
I had this one stored with 4 other markers and a handful of rifles. Stored the same way for almost 10 years without any issues. It was the only one that fell and it was in the middle of the others. But, I guess it only takes once!
Good thing I have a long weekend to inventory, re-arrange and get some markers on the chopping block.

Fyi...
They are threaded into the solid body then welded then machined internally.
You could get it in and welded back to place then use the deco cover.
Buuuuut.....
If you broke the weld on something so thin likely someone bent.Comment

I’ve been combing over both parts and can’t find anything bent. It looks like it just pulled out/damaged the outermost threads (that may just be wishful thinking though)
The two welds are in such a location that it looks like they were only there to keep the neck from rotating...there is no “damage” to them, they’re still almost perfectly round with no shaft edges (maybe that was part of the problem — well, realistically, the fall was ALL of the problem, but you know what I mean).
