I think I understand most of the concept, it’s the trigger, pump and the “sled” for the dual bodies that get me…..and now the “cut up one of my phantom stockclass bodies” comment.
The "cut" that has to be made is to basically mirror the pump rod slot on the other side of the hammer sear slot. The kits included a modified body, but if you later want a different feed layout, then you have to get an additional body and mod it. Some people do it themselves, some have a machinist do it. I had Have Blue at Air Soldier Products do mine when I needed more.
KPCS Ken also did a run of "Ditto Deuce" double barrel Phantoms that used a custom milled trigger frame and tray, and had the inside (facing) part of the bodys milled for the pump slot.

I bought two of Big Red's Zebrawood finger groove grips specifically to use for a pair of special "no feed hole" bodies I have to build muzzle load dueling Phantoms similar to this picture, but I cannot decide if I really want the "target" look, or a pirate look.
The grips are sooooo beautiful though!
