Phantom Online has updated the Phantom so their stock class breech now comes with the ASP detent mod

The new owners continue to refine the 'stock' Phantom and improve it
I have long thought the Phantom is the best pump there is, refined over time and customizable to what the user wants

That was my thought exactly!

I was always perplexed that they never added a detent to the Phantom, that is my biggest gripe with the marker. It is nice to see that they are making one of the best pumps made even better!

As additional update, I spoke with Jesse a few weeks back inquiring about a gas through grip setup for the phantom and whether they would ever do that in the future…he said ‘stay tuned for a big update later this year’

a pump newbie mentioned this to me on sunday at OSG because he was thinking of ordering new. it could be a move to drive sales of new markers and bodies. i told the newbie to buy used and modify it,but some just don't want to deal with the hassle and just want it ready to go out of the box.

and ASP is going to eventually come out with their offset SC bodies, so probably EV going to handle vert SC and ASP going to get the offset business. win win.

Yeah…after the deeply unpopular spring feed and a detent system that doesn’t work I think I’ll pass on a trigger frame…at least until it’s proven to not have EV style defects.

I modified my Duck Slide's Phantom body to accept Spyder Detents, it works but not as clean at the ASP Detent Modification. I am tempted to buy one of these bodies to replace my modded one in the Duck Slide. I had wanted the ASP modification but that was at the time Have Blue was taking a break so I did my own mod.
