Forgot about these, honestly. Took a vacation, finished some certifications, changed jobs, and did a significant remodel to allow for a proper home office. Paintball quickly became an afterthought.

I'll look at the quotes I have, and see if it makes sense to run a batch given the interest expressed. Maybe 30-50 pcs, so I'm not holding too much inventory at the end of the day.

And feel free to bother me about it if needed!

Should be phantom finish glossish black. I'm not sure if it was tumbled and then electropolished? I feel like it was tumbled and then electropolished.

Dust black doesn't match many phantoms, any kind of gloss is better IMO

Phantom finishes have been all over the place. My body from '04 still shows extrusion marks through the gloss black anodizing, but the double UC kit I most recently picked up has a rich gloss black.

Gloss black of any kind is still going to match better than any kind of dust black, which also has nearly infinite variations.

Anyone know a good anodizer who would prep and plate a batch of 50 for a reasonable cost? I'm getting a runaround - how hard can it be to polish and bright dip?

You check Blizzard? I’m sure he’s busy but he has done single color for me very reasonable. Polishing is more expensive small pieces can be a Pain to polish to so that may be why.

That question is the same for all anodizers
I just sent a large batch to Outlaw Anodizing so far they were the cheapest out of the 9 places I have tried but I have not got my stuff back yet

I'd take one raw... I need to modify it extensively to fit my application so anno doesn't make sense.

Looks like I'm buying these raw and finishing a portion somewhere local (or with one of the paintball guys). Working on convincing the wife cuz it's a hefty PO to the machine shop, but y'all are worth it

A brief update - hurt myself exercising, needed a minor surgery, fully recovered but want one more paycheck to hit before I place the order. Looks like a late October delivery date if my schedule holds. Then I'll polish and send a portion for anodizing.

I'm only planning 50 for now, probably 35 black and 15 raw.
