    Clear Phantom Parts?

I'm looking to hunt down a clear Phantom feed tube cap. How much should I expect to pay for one?

Does anyone know if there was ever a clear part made for the other plastic bit on the front of the 12rd feeds?

Did CCI make these? Or was it a small run out of someone's garage?

I believe CCI made them, but stopped because they were cracking and not holding up ...

    just sold these for $115.

was told afterwards i "got robbed"
    lol

maybe the cap is worth $60 by itself?
Apparently, the feed "block" is super desirable and worth more than that

The feed block is money. Being able to see your paint drop is mint.

I have a set of them. Decent condition I can get you pictures tomorrow.

Sweet, I'd be interested in checking them out. I'd only be looking for the feed cap.

I might try to make my own plastic bit for the front of the 12rd feed. Maybe acrylic? I don't think those exist yet.

They definitely exist. I have one on a phantom currently and the picture above shows one on the left.
Rockin' a Phantom and a T2...CCI & CCM for the win.

I'm talking about the 12rd feed. Looks like the one on the left in that picture is the feed block for 10rd / 15rd feeds.

the 12rd feed has a little black plastic part in the front that sort of houses the screw that mates it to the body.

ahh thank you for your clarification, I misunderstood.

Just to be…”clear”…these parts stopped being made because they suck. They are beautiful and extremely fun but it’s simply the wrong material for the job so anyone spending $$$ should know that these are mainly good for wall hanging and sometimes will actually crack even just hanging on a wall.

Once thats understood anyone still interested can buy with confidence. I just don’t want to hear anyone complain that they spent $200 on a pump handle that cracked the next day. That’s what they do.

I remember using this stuff almost 20 years ago, and actually lost count how many times I emailed Mike about getting "yet another acrylic breech". Played a lot of front/snake and man that stuff did NOT take ANY kinda of hit. About as worthless as the SP freak backs...

I'm putting it out there... I will gladly sell my smoke acrylic pump handle for $200. Wow.

Guys. The $200 figure was an exaggeration. If you look here you’ll never find any place where I said that’s what it’s worth or what anyone has ever paid.

People do pay extra for them though and they do crack, unlike black ones, and collectard pricing is showing no signs of slowing down so it could happen. I was just saying that nobody ever should pay…anything at all really…for these latently defective parts unless they are comfortable with them cracking during play, during installation, or even during shipping.

I hope that ends any confusion.

Some Zerts heat-stake inserts might help significantly, if it's not too ugly. For a clear feed block, re-cutting the back for an o-ring fit instead of tapered threads and putting a steel sleeve underneath the body screw might do wonders for durability.

You should elaborate, since I have no idea what you mean but I'm intrigued.

I made some PGP clear handle with a bolt through it to hold the threads without them exploding, I'm (very) slowly working on a phantom one (and refining my process). There is a few details I need to figure out and find the right hardware to fit properly without scratching the barrel.

For the feed block I will have a meta insert so when you tighten the screw, it tighten on it instead of the plastic. But I haven't found a solution for the feed tapered thread yet 😅

Is there room enough for an insert in the pump handle? It certainly won’t fit a Timesert or ones made for wood. I had to moon section out the washer I added to the pump rod because otherwise it will grind into the barrel, the clearance is so tight.

I would make a face plate like a CCM pump handle has so the pump arm has a nice aluminum block to thread into and then you can attach the face to the pump handle in the meatier part with inserts.
