I thought the only upgrade to these bolts were the Billy Wing bolts, but also not sure how much of an upgrade they are. -
Out of curiosity: What attributes are you hoping to improve?Check out my YouTube channel for overview videos of the WGP Karnivor and WGP Orracle!

If it was me… only thing I’d do is mod the bolt for a soft face and call it a day. Maaaaaaayyybe look into custom detents since modern paint is so small but that’s a bit more “iffy”
there was a techt bolt for matrices that basically gets rid of the need for an LPR and turned the system into a blow forward (think ion)… made it really quick and reeeeeaaally low pressure but did nothing positive for efficiencyComment

Most bolt upgrades for the Pm/dm series are downgrades... More so with the early 2000's ones.
Believe it or not best bolt upgrade was the hose mod. Hybrid sold a metal version. Basically it took some volume up and made them use less air

I forgot about the hose mod, also the Top Hat mod that just used electrical tape to do something similar. I remember reading about them when I was trying to get my PM6 up and running again.Comment

Cheapest & best:
- hose mod if you need efficiency and
- run 050 duro buna orings on the 017 positions. This will decrease friction / lower LPR, same effect as BW bolt/polishing.
- run 050 duro on the sail or tail too if you like, it will help but I found these positions a bit less reliable/effective. Don't do the 014, it's prone to blowing out.
BW costs too much, L7 is a totally different bolt. The fuse bolt really is a robust designComment

You can run a DM9-11 bolt, but you basically need to buy a full assembly because you need the DM bolt, tophat, and backcap. You use those with your PM can for the setup to work in a PM5-7.Comment

Hello All,
I installed a Dm9/10 bwing bolt in my Pm7 with the Pm7 can and DM9/10 back cap. The bolt protrudes into the breach a bit. I know that this can be remedied with an oring on the back cap by the threads but does anyone know offhand what size and duro works well for that?
EDIT: looks like a 017/70 might have done the trickLast edited by deadmeat3344; 11-19-2025, 11:55 AM.Comment
