    Etek 3 rebuild questions

Hey guys so I got this off Facebook marketplace locally clearly was sitting for some time. Shot it in the backyard seemed to have a lethargic bolt. Did some maintenance put a decent 9v in it. Shot fine no leaks. Then it started to have a slow leak. Broke it down further noticed the lpr reg seat was jelly. Ordered some new ones replaced it now it's leaking worse from the trigger frame. What gives? Not super familiar with poppet Valve guns always wanted one of the egos back in the day. Any help would be appreciated. Basically just been breaking down cleaning/changing o-rings and seals as needed. Greasing reg Orings and oiling bolt/ram orings per manual instructions.

Any help would be appreciated wanted to get it going for some recball. Cheeky limited paint set up I posted a few weeks ago

Try servicing the solenoid, check for broken gaskets and o-rings.

I did service mine while I was rebuilding it but I wonder if I but the piston in backwards 🤔 I'll have to watch this video while I have everything apart. I have enough stuff to rebuild the gun 6x

Likely what happened is when you replaced the LPR seat the adjustment is higher when you put the lpr together. The leak you are hearing is the noid venting the extra pressure to protect itself.

I would 0 out the lpr and start from there. Adjust up until the bolt is difficult but not impossible/painful on your hand to push forward

I would also just do a full rebuild. Chances are something the is going to give out next

I'll take a look at how the LPR is set. I went through basically the whole marker and replaced anything that seemed questionable. Thanks for the suggestion

I think its time for a new solenoid then.

So 2 things I found a barely noticable damaged Oring in the lpr valve body and watched the video above like I thought I put the piston in the solenoid in backwards 🙃 anyway no more leaks. Sherwoodsghost thank you for that video came in clutch. The manual did not specify on the piston orientation

Make sure the Dwell is set to 10ms by the way. The original setting these shipped with was 9 (and that's what is in the manual) but PE later revised that recommendation. LPR setting described in the manual is ideal but I have also seen slightly higher recommendations in the PE fb tech group.

Full rebuild is a must by the way. Seats, orings, gaskets, detents, you name it. Make sure the debris screen is clean too. For the noid do NOT go further than clean, light grease and replace the gaskets.

Went through everything cleaned and replaced all worn detents, Orings, and LPR reg seat. She's running like a top now. No problems with the dwell but I'll keep that in mind if I have any further problems, thank you!
