GS Flame Bushmaster
Due to the difference in milling from the production model and the additional top tube insert milling, I believe this to be a prototype. I have only ever seen one other milled this way but it had an Aftermath milled tray (I have no idea where it currently resides, only seen a picture in a Google search). So it's possible this was a proposed team gun. I personally picked it up as a body kit.

That thing looks great! Low number too.

Thank ya sir! Yeah the low serial was super exciting when I figured out how they are identified.
Im not sure if Ill run the tank on the grip yet. Its just a hair short to shoulder well, but the balance of the marker is amazing. Its like it naturally hangs on your grip hand so one handed shooting could be easily done. on an alley cat an intruder would be super mint as the grip sits back a hair more.Last edited by BrickHaus; 04-25-2021, 09:40 PM.

New to me "parts cat" i got from ironnerd.
It needed a barrel, well that was the main reason I wanted it as I previously got a dye Ti barrel for my puma, to figure out my puma has old school panther threads and the ti barrel was a bust.
It was missing a feedneck screw, added a stainless grip frame panel screw from my stash.
The delrin bolt was super tight in the body. Bottle brushed the body out, and took a 3m scour pad to the bolt til it moved freely.
Missing the feed plug. I had an old automag body sitting around that I robbed for the plug.
Had a cut feedneck making normal feednecks hard to use. I had a sconi feedneck on my puma I robbed, I got a second one.
Missing the cocking lug. I added a 10-32 socket head bolt and custom turned sleeve ( not pictured)
Missing the air input plug. I added a remote line adapter, and rather than just plug the hole, I added an old school centerflag gage just for laughs.
not sure if I wanna run another armson bottle drop situation, or bottomline one cat, and armson drop the other, but Ill update when I actually buy some parts for this beast.
Either way, I got it cycling already. Pretty stoked to have 2 cats in my fleet.Last edited by BrickHaus; 05-10-2021, 03:13 PM.

I guess. My puma is serial number 90. Year marked 94. I got it with 2 barrels. I then bought a icd threaded barrel for my puma and it wouldnt thread into it. I have a thread on here. The threads are slightly different. The barrel seller found a puma specific barrel in their stock that looks similar to my puma barrels. I have both a all american, and the stock barrel for my puma and neither will thread into my cat. Vice versa. The dye titanium barrel in icd threads willl not thread into my puma, but threads into the cat fine.

Err... No. (At least according to a conversation I had with Jerry in '94 or '95.) You have Puma with SN 4P100090. That is very probably not the 90th Puma. Your SN indicates that it was the 90th Puma made in October of 1994. This was the numbering scheme in use back then. (Or perhaps completed body, i dont remember which.) My purchased new Puma has SN 4P050141, making it the 141st Puma (body?) made in June 1994.
CapitolPaintball used to have a Cat SN list. Mine was newer than several listed.
If you indeed have a Panther threaded Puma that is... at the very least.. uncommon. It is the first one I have heard mentioned here. Does your "Puma" barrel have single lead or quad lead threads? ProLite barrels can be made to fit Panthers if you match the profile of a normal Cat barrel. (Thanks for that tip, Capitol.)

Okay. Got some parts swapped arounnd to try something new. Gave the puma a traditional bottomline with its wider grip, and gonna try the armson mount on the tighter alley cat. Found this sweet shipping bolt from ny wifes new office chair and now I think Ill just turn an aluminum sleeve at work to make the bolt with a splash or red work.1 Photo

Purchased this Thunder Cat off MCB a couple weeks ago to see what it’s all about. Cleaned it up, replaced all the springs and seals, polished the internals, and opened up the VASA for HPA. Added an old Spyder expansion chamber to act as a foregrip, an Lapco adapter and cocker threaded CP barrel, and shaved an old Phantom 45 grip to fit. Cycles and shoots great in the backyard, going to test it out with some rec play this weekend.
FOLLOW UP: I had a blast playing with this marker. Let my buddies use it for a few matches and they loved it too. One guy even asked me to find one for him, so I did. Cleaned it up, replaced some seals, and kept it very stock because he didn’t want to pay too much extra for nowLast edited by glasscitymitch_02; 03-25-2022, 11:43 PM.
