    Promaster revival detour!

As I wait and gather parts for dads bushmaster project - I acquired an old Lasoya Promaster for a really good deal! The original owner told me it had a bad valve leak. I threw my own reg and ASA on and checked the gauges- LPR and hpr were set good so it's time to break her down

Couldn't get the bolt out- the pin was stuck- the fastener in the back of the bolt had the pin down tight

Trigger and eyes out- pretty nifty how they designed the eyes to fit into these little plastic holders behind the eye cover - good to know for when I try to ACE dads bushmaster

Promasters are great. The Lasoyas are my favorite. This will be a fun one.

I loved mine, they were my go-to electros. I sold both, when yhe market was good a few years ago, and thought I was done with ICD's, but picked two up (one Lasoya, one blind) on the cheap enough. I guess I can't get away, but the Lasoya has the most walkable trigger I've ever used.

I gotta ask your guys opinion. In all the pictures ive seen, the barb coming out of the ram is straight- this one is a 90 degree barb facing backwards and the hose goes BEHIND the QEV, seems like an easy way to kink a hose-i just ordered a straight barb to put in place of the 90*- should i swap this barb out to run that hose straight or do i run the risk of kinking stuff up? I'm wondering how you guys would approach this

The 90° barbs are your friend. You don’t know the hell of dealing with the straight barb variant. The extra hose this offers you makes disassembly and reassembly far easier. The old hose will likely be brittle but if your careful may be reused. You can pick up a new role of 5/32 poly hose on eBay for cheap. Fresh hose is far less likely to kink.

I think Myrkul found a 45 barb and put it on the noid and then a straight out of the bottom so there wasn’t a kink in that hose.

I have found Promasters to be wildly frustrating markers. Those lines are an absolute pain in the ass and like to kink with the 3/32 gas line a LOT. That specific issue can be fixed with a 3/32 45 degree M3 threaded fitting coming off the noid and a straight fitting off the bottom of the ram.

For whatever reason, the solenoids in these REALLY like to stick a lot too. You have to get them aligned jusssst right after a tear down and cleaning, and even then some still just stick a lot. I'm not sure exactly what component is failing, but I have had a handful of them that need these rebuild kits to function properly.

Also not really a fan of the stock rams, the ICD-U rammer is absolutely amazing, but those are tough to find and cost way more then then gun does most of the time.

Got the grip and Ram off! The Ram looks like a lightened ram- the guy said he had upgraded this thing by I didn't know to what exact extent. He included a bag of spares to comb over as well.

SupraDan you're 100% right man- I just left 90 barb and hose on there- no fuss

No clue what valve this is- it looks sick tho- the guy that sold me the marker said it was the leak source tho so I swapped it with a stock valve- his cup seal looked beat so I unscrewed it and flipped it. Gave his valve body the Myrkul with some wet sand paper - and in she goes

Stock bolt still has its spring and detent- the new bolt- as cool as it is doesn't have either and was just locked on the pin with an Allen screw- stock will do for now but dang this aftermarket bolt looked sick- just like that valve- I want to return to that valve someday and see if I can't get it to work
