    Slim striker ID please

I've not seen one like this before. It has a super deep dish cupped face. Notice the oring groove is farther back.

Can anyone identify it? A factory Spyder slim striker is to the right in the last picture.

I recall something from otter’s site about a dished striker…. Yes, the Dark Horizons titanium striker. But I’m not seeing any references to the odd oring placement.Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_2312.png Views:	0 Size:	995.4 KB ID:	754425 Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_2311.png Views:	0 Size:	1.02 MB ID:	754426

I have multiple dark horizons strikers and this doesn’t match them at all. The cupping on the front was in collaboration with Otter but wasn’t THAT deep, and they were definitely all titanium for that run.

Could it be from Alamo City Paintball (ACP)? I know they mostly did delrin stuff, but I remember them doing a lot of cupped face strikers as well.

I've checked my database of ACP, and Dark Horizons also. It is not a match. And it isn't titanium.

It is not titanium. It's weight is on par with a stock Kingman slim striker. Here it is on a magnet.

        hard drive magnet, nice.

how do you get the pattern like that? looks like a lathe or something.

Otters paintball (or something) referenced a dished striker like that some years ago, but it was always home brew.
from the discoloration, did someone weld the o-ring grove and then make their own further back?
it almost looks like the "cup" was added on after extending (cutting back, around) the pin.

I wonder. This is the deepest cup I've seen, much more aggressive than the others I have. It's so aggressive the oring groove had to move back because the material is too thin.

As for it being welded, could the cup have been drilled/reamed and then the pin welded later?

I remember coming across a hammer like this once, but I'm having trouble remembering where from. I want to say from a Dragun TES, but I'm probably wrong. Also don't remember if the o-ring was that far bad, I just remember the cupped face.

I have a dragun on my bench right now. Unless someone swapped in a normal spyder hammer at some point, it has a standard hammer

Nope, The strikers in the TES will be very similar to ones in Spyders.

My guess is either someone’s homebrew mod with that finish, or it’s a super off brand, overseas spyder clone where the main tube tolerance was off so they compensated with the striker to account for it.

that center pin looks soldered in

I'm going to believe this is an unexplained one off. I hope to get this in a build before Spring in order to see how it performs. I will update later by way of a new thread.
