Could it be from Alamo City Paintball (ACP)? I know they mostly did delrin stuff, but I remember them doing a lot of cupped face strikers as well.Comment

hard drive magnet, nice.
how do you get the pattern like that? looks like a lathe or something.
Otters paintball (or something) referenced a dished striker like that some years ago, but it was always home brew.
from the discoloration, did someone weld the o-ring grove and then make their own further back?
it almost looks like the "cup" was added on after extending (cutting back, around) the pin.Comment

I wonder. This is the deepest cup I've seen, much more aggressive than the others I have. It's so aggressive the oring groove had to move back because the material is too thin.hard drive magnet, nice.

As for it being welded, could the cup have been drilled/reamed and then the pin welded later?Comment

I remember coming across a hammer like this once, but I'm having trouble remembering where from. I want to say from a Dragun TES, but I'm probably wrong. Also don't remember if the o-ring was that far bad, I just remember the cupped face.Comment

I have a dragun on my bench right now. Unless someone swapped in a normal spyder hammer at some point, it has a standard hammer

My guess is either someone’s homebrew mod with that finish, or it’s a super off brand, overseas spyder clone where the main tube tolerance was off so they compensated with the striker to account for it.
that center pin looks soldered inComment

I'm going to believe this is an unexplained one off. I hope to get this in a build before Spring in order to see how it performs. I will update later by way of a new thread.Comment
