Do you shave your nipples?

Depends on your load out. I don’t shave em. No issues with nipples and carmatech mags. The new ones even have a built in nipple channel. Hand load fsr doesn’t care about nipples either. But if your mags/markers feed more reliably after a nipplectomy, go right ahead.

Nah man. Remember that third nipple I gave you at Hoth? That round still had its nipple intact. Nipple to nipple transfer if you will.
You could weigh them and size them if you got the time and want to take accuracy to the extreme. But you don’t have to sand them. You’ve got a dam, dam mags feed fsr great. Never had a misfeed when I ran the mg100

Oh I still remember that shot still have night terrors from it. I got a bunch of stuff coming for that Dam to. Found replacement cosmetic plates. New board and some mags and molle pouches to hold them on my duty belt. I think that MG100 feeds a lot more reliable then the Dam from what I’m seeing. I plan on shooting strictly Zoom Dots threw it. Think that FS specific bolt face and nemesis barrel are a worth while upgrade? I’m just point shooting them. I don’t want sights or anything long barrel.

I’m not familiar with the dam bolt, but I know carmatech found some fsr flips in the SAR were resulting from the flat nosed bolt face catching the end of the fins sending it nose up. The g2 semi was designed with a smaller, beveled bolt face catering to fsr. The new gen bolt action faces now come beveled as well. Only time I get a flip now is if I cycle the bolt action too slowly.
I’d wager DYE was having similar issues and generated the same solution. So yeah, go for the bolt.
I’ve put more rounds through the lapco rifled than nemesis at this point. On my range I can hit 70 yards reliably with it. The nemesis as well, though I’ve never hit the 100 yard mark with the lapco. Both group better than smoothbore.

Interesting actually makes sense that the extra material causes the round to flip if it catches. I’m only planning on shooting First strikes out of it. It’s really the only reason I bought it. I just ordered that First strike specific bolt face and Magwell piece hopefully I won’t have any feed issues. If it prevents flips I guess I’m in the nipple trimming camp.
I will give it a go and do some testing. When buying first strikes I was told it’s better to get the dark nose with the bright color backs because they are easier to see when you shoot them. But are hard to see on the reviving end.Last edited by Chuck E Ducky; 11-22-2020, 03:31 PM.

No. When I that much for first strike rounds I just expect they work amazingly. When they don't I just get closer.
But in the future I have plans to put some NIPS on my Hammerhead TIPS with my SS XL inserts. If that doesn't work, then I'll put my barrel condom on and go home. FYI there was only one sexual euphemism there.

So I did see a video instead of trimming each and every FS rounds he modified his mag for a lil more clearance at the very top of his dye mag. He sanded the exact area of the mag that the “FS nipple” come in contact with before the breach. Video claims it completely solved First strikes from flipping in the DAM Mags.
After getting FSR flips and jams even after the Angel mod I decided to modify the magazine wells. I dremel'd the wall of the magazine that makes contact with...

No Im still waiting on my parts. Just went down the youtube rabbit hole sifting threw the junk for actual content. I found a few reviews of different products trying to figure out the best way to set this thing up so it works properly with FS. I thought the eclipse followers were better for regular paint. Sherry at MSG has a bunch of the eclipse followers and spring kits in stock. Think they are worth it in a strictly FS marker? Videos I have seen with the Dmag springs and FS round show inconsistent feeds. I'm assuming the PE mag mods make it so both feed reliably in the MG100 and the mag can take advantage of the Emek engine and shoot brittle regular better quality paint and I guess it stops the MG from firing on an empty breach. Not sure how they will work in the DAM I'm using. I did grab the newer bolt face and magwell feed ramp designed for shooting first strikes. (DYE DAM GBD FSR Feed Kit) its got the updated fixed breach mod and Box mag 2 piece bolt with the extra Oring so it should be a lil more efficient then the standard DAM. Something that will help because I want to run the 18ci I use for my open class pumps.
My buddy never came to grab that box rotor. I may throw that up on ebay see what happens, and get one of those FS specific barrels. (Like 14'' nemesis) or try and find one used. I want to make sure I can get it to feed reliably before I go Cerokoting it the way I want it to look and investing in barrels I may not even need for the way I play. I have seen some crazy long shots with scopes and the right barrel combo I'm sure people are walking it in and just showing the consistency of the round. I'm looking more for mid range accuracy I'm sill going to snap shoot them.Last edited by Chuck E Ducky; 11-23-2020, 11:36 AM.

I believe the new follower design eased pressure points on the stack, which would be gentler on paint and aid fsr feeding continuity. Youre right in that it also jumps up high enough to stop the bolt in mg100 upon emptying the mag. Would that help or hinder the DAM? Guess there’s only one way to find out. Havoc’s got a bunch, maybe you could try before you buy.
I had both style of follower in my dmags and shot both types of projectiles without issue in the mg100. So maybe it’s no big deal if you keep the old school follower, but as Arthur pointed out, what works with dmags and mg100 doesn’t necessarily work with dmags and the dam.
You should be able to turn that box rotor into a barrel +cash no problem. 14” nemi or the 15” lapco would be just fine for mid-range engagements. No need to have the spaghetti armed joy of my 20” nemesis+nips and tip

Depends on the marker you are using the FSR's in.
MG/EMF, you don't need to. DAM with the GBD kit, you don't need to.
If you are flipping rounds, I would suggest there is more likely an alignment issue of the bolt. For example, the T15 bolt can come loose, and be fractionally forward causing issues.
Also... back pressure can also cause issues with rounds flipping. Some people drill holes in the breach area to alleviate back pressure. (depends on you marker).

I have the GBD kit in my Dam and it seems to feed them just fine as is. I just ran some threw some brand new mags with no issues as well.
I was talking to a buddy at the field who ran the Dam for a long time he was saying that the PE followers work fine in the Dam and and act the same in the dam as the MG100. They do trigger the eyes so it will chuff but not fire. I’m going to keep the stock springs and followers with my setup unless I have issues. My setup seems to be working well after the new board, eyes and GBD bolt face and ramp mod.
If I experience some flips I think I will clearance the mag ramps before I trim each round.
