    T4e hds

Dunno if this would be the appropriate place to ask about this fun little plinker of mine, as it does not use mags but is in more the milsim catagory.

Love this thing, but was wondering if there are any mods out there for it, IE: anyone able to make it use HPA instead of co2, have a air-thru stock kind of thing to have a Ash Boomstick kind of thing going for them. Someone on reddit already suggested porting the restrictor plate on it so it can shoot consistently at 250+

If this is in the wrong area mods please help direct me to the right one. Thanks for any help I recieve

I just yanked the restrictor from mine, gives field speed double barrel shots now

I honestly was really enjoying using it as a single barrel, Right side was my FSR and left was just roundball I was keeping in a magdump pouch.

I don't own an HDS, but from what I understand about the mod in question, it does not make the velocity consistent. This mod was only meant to make double barrel mode useable, at least for the first few shots. If you remove the restrictor and shoot in single barrel mode, your velocity will be way above 300 fps on your first several shots.

I'm not aware of any mod that adapts the HDS to HPA, and I'm not sure if it's even possible to make these guns shoot consistently. Shame. A break action double barrel paintball shooter with an adjustable and consistent velocity would earn my dollar in a New York minute.

Some of those consistency issues are from the barrels which are strangely different bores. Q.C. on these is a bit shady, but it’s the cheapest double barrel option out there so I deal.

But doesn't the velocity slowly drop lower and lower with each shot?

          No worry's,

Umarex made a replacement knob with a hole to attach a remote line so you can use a HPA tank instead of the 12g

Super cool Ill have to try out the remote line, or a variant of some kind, It's so freaking fun to play with, even if I only got a kill or 2 the entire day I had a blast

The Inflicted mod works great. With HPA it will be more consistent as CO2 is affected by temperature.

Any way to get spare CO2 plugs or HPA adapters at a decent price?

Has anyone got some testing numbers with HPA? The gun is designed to suck liquid CO2 out of its cartridge so I imagine velocities with liquid would be significantly lower.

If you bump up HPA input pressure you can make anything shoot on it. 825psi seems to be the Magic number for unregulated 12g operating pressure from what I have seen.

I would think that having to be tethered to a remote system would constrain the fun of using these things in a way that outweighs in any advantage in consistency. With its janky barrels and lack of stock I don't think anyone is going to be sharpshooting with these things anyway.

I don't think this gun sucks liquid CO2. With the inverted quick piercer and a sealed metal 12 gram chamber, I believe it dumps CO2 gas into the chamber, that flows around the 12 gram to the inlet to the valve. For it to suck liquid, the piercer would need a direct line to the valve.
