Stroker Internal Part Removal

In the picture below there is a silver piece with an oring. Does any one know how this is supposed to come out? I referred to the exploded photo but mine appears to be a bit different. Am I trying to pop it out the front? Out the back? Does it unscrew?

Take the hammer and valve out, then that piece slides out the back.

If it doesn't come out("glued" with the dead o-ring) you may need to put a down down the front to push it out the back.

Thanks guys. Melted orings are just nasty. Now on to getting the ram/quickswitch apart.

The ram is sealed/non rebuildable... I've revived them in the past with hot water to flush it out and then oil. The seals are usually pretty good, just gunked up.

Can I take apart the piece the slides over the one i mentioned in the picture? It appears to have the pin/spring/seat for the regulator.

They're usually just a (mostly) hollow piece of aluminum... no internals.

Here are some pictures: On the one end you can see the pin which is springy like in a Stabilizer/Torpedo reg. On the other end is a piece that's concave with a hole in the middle.

I don't think that piece in the last picture is supposed to be there... it should come out.

Is the pin trapped in there?

If the seal is rotted out it can "glue" the seal in place ...
the pin is brass and bend VERY easily!
Try putting some solvent on it (spring side) to soften the seal. MEK or acetone might work, if it doesn't, break fluid should eat it up ...

I'm not sure the seal is stuck. There just seems to be a metal piece that may or may not belong stuck inside so I can't get the internals out at all.
