Finally hit the field today and dusted off my Meteor pump for the very first time. I’d gotten it all setup and ready when I first got it, including dropping in a Lazarus valve. But we all know shorting at a target isn’t the same as playing with it on the field.
I was running a DW with standard freak, which gripped my balls nicely. No roll outs. I chrono’d about 280 and but would vary depending on the roundness of the paint. Paint was small, but good enough to use.
So how did it do? Fantastic, quite frankly. Comfortable in my hands, smooth pump stroke and nice trigger. I had my most eliminations playing with the Meteor. I only put it away when my Karni reg decided to vent… likely the ancient reg seal finally went. Been meaning or order a few rebuild kits always.
Now I fully admit I am biased towards pumps, but I have some fairly high standards having built pumps when CCM parts were both obtainable and affordable. The
Meteor feels top notch. Even the field manager was impressed with the light pump stroke and shot.
