Empire Sniper Drift Kit + ASA Leak Questions

    Hey all -

First let's start with the ASA. It leaked with all of my ninja regulators and seemed to tolerate the stock HK army regulator on my 3000psi tank. I researched and saw it was a common issue and fixed by the starburst plug from ID. I installed that and it does seem to help but when the ninja regulator tanks are screwed all the way in they leak air out of the bleed hole in the ASA. I assume it has to do with the pin length of the ninja regulators but wanted to see what others have done to fix this. If I engage the on-off it doesn't leak but if I leaved the marker ungassed with the tank screwed in it'll empty the whole tank out the bleed hole. Fixes? Anyone else have this issue?

Now onto the ID drift kit - I installed the kit and it is quite the upgrade from the stock pump kit. I noticed that the sled is rubbing near where the pump arm attaches. I reached out to ID on facebook and they said that rubbing is normal. Anyone else seen this before? Is this an issue with the sniper? It was pretty much brand new so no damage to the frame or body.

    Thank you wise MCB friends

    1) I had the ID Drift kit on a Ressy and it rubbed a little in that same spot. I could reduce the rubbing a little bit by clocking the sled slightly (relative to the pump arm) but I wouldn't worry about it.
    2) It sounds like the pin valve on the tank reg is getting engaged just slightly in the ASA. I assume it's hitting the ASA pin so if you really wanted, you could try cutting/grinding/filing down the pin ever-so-slightly.

I have the drift kit sled on my Sniper and my Resurrection; the rubbing is normal and nothing to worry about. The downside of having the ano rubbed slightly by the sled is offset by the perk of having the drift kit in my opinion.

On the ASA, I had a similar issue even after I installed the starburst however I changed my ninja reg from a pin valve type to a ball valve type and the issue ceased.
