    VM68 ball detent dimension

Looking to 3d print a VM68 ball detent

If someone have a good one and a scanner (standard paper scanner)?
    Or can take basic measurement?

I don't know anything about vm68s, but if there is a way to measure the width of the slot on the gun you should be able to figure out the rest of the measurements (roughly) from the picture. Of course there will be trial and error, but if it's your only option I am sure you can make it work. Good luck!

I remember someone making them out of you with 2 play spacers ...

Did you try to search thingiverse?

I have one. If no one gets back to you sooner, I can send some measurements in the morning.

        Thanks
If you have access to a paper scanner and can do a scan, I can import the image to Freecad and with only one dimension will be able to scale it.

Sorry don’t have a scanner handy. Here are some pics though. If you need additional measurements of something just let me know and if you prefer standard instead of metric I can do that easy enough as well.

        Metric is fine for me
If you can send me holes inside diameter and hole spacing I think I could get something
Your pictures are good enough quality to try to use them directly too
Will post progress and a model once completed
        Thanks

Thanks wthomas333, printed some in TPU based on the dimension you provided and also made some with the design of Freedummy. Will send those to Jordan for the field test.
Will put the file on thingiverse if they work

I made mine out of a replacement seal for a grolcsh-type flip top bottle. Most brew-your-own places will have these seals for 25 cents each.Just trim two opposite edges so that the seal slides into place. Mark where the screw holes should be and drill them out of the seal. bolt it on to feed neck without replacing the little plate. Then draw a diagonal line across the protruding portion,or a curve that looks like fang at the breach/barrel mouth Remove the bolts and cut along that line with a razor blade...remount it with the bolts and drop a paintball into the feedneck to see where it sits. adjust your cutting until it sits where you want. These seals are made of some sort of indestructible synthetic rubber and will last YEARS! Once you're happy with your work, remove one last time and make a few spares by tracing your winning design, or at least make a template for down the road.

I also have the dimensions to make your own valve-extractor tool. Find a piece of skinny pipe with a wall thickness that will handle being run through a die. The die will be 3/8 NC 16 thread. Thread the pipe about 3/4 of an inch. Start with a pipe about 10" long to give yourself some room to fashion a grip of some kind. Die the other end to whatever you can find a big nut for to hold your grip in place
