Who made this Sheridan 12g changer

I have seen these around before but never owned one. A Kp2df popped up on Ebay so I shot an offer and got the gun (also it has a cooperT Kp2 bolt)

Who made this style of 12g quick change? It uses a cut out in the body for the 12s.

Nice snag! I have no idea on the origins of that changer, but I saw that listing and nearly offered up as well.

That's a MAC changer. Yours is in much better shape than mine. Before I got my MAC 1, someone took a wrench to the adjustment sleeve, probably because it seized up or something.

I like how they work, not as fast as a lever changer, but still pretty quick. Have to turn the sleeve to make sure there is enough pressure on the cartridge before piercing it on first shot. Bacci has a video on youtube showing how it works.

Drop in a cartridge. Push in center plunger. Rotate sleeve to guarantee a proper seal between cartridge and valve. Shoot to pierce.

To eject, slide sleeve towards you. Cartridge pops out of the bottom.

Very slick. Yes, more pics of this. Love seeing more variations on the same concepts.

pretty simple design, kinda like how the slide collar works on a quick disconnect air fitting. there are bearings inside of the collar, that are mounted into the main threaded body, just like a female disconnect. Threaded portion is what screws into the end of the lower tube. there is a version with a much longer rod for the MAC rifle.

Hold the collar with 2 fingers and push in the center knob at the end. The center rod moves slightly, then all the sudden the collar will snap forward due to pressure from the "back" spring and preloads "front" spring. Cartridge is now loaded. To ensure proper seal rotate collar, this will also rotate the threaded main body. So you can adjust for variations in cartridge length.

This shows the "cartridge loaded" position

to eject, slide the collar back towards the body. bearings move out of machined groove, and "front" spring pushes collar back towards marker. Cartridge falls out of the cutout. This shows the disengaged or loading position. Pin prevents shaft from moving too far and preloads rear spring.

They come apart fairly easy for servicing. Watch out for the bearings, they are not captured in a race...
