PMI-1 SC Valve and 12g Quick Change Inquiry

I’ve had this since 2002 or so and never got it running. The 12g changer is too long. Would that fit some other model or do I just need to chop it down and rethread?

Also, is the hole in the space normal? I am rebuilding this and realized I hadn’t seen others with that hole. Thanks!

I think the quick change setup is for a kp type and as far as that hole in the valve sleeve, I have never seen that done or know what purpose it serves. That’s a first for me, home brewed.

That hole is from a side tapped sheridan, should not be an issue ...
The quick change is definitely for a longer lower tube.
Do you have a side port on the other side?
