    Jordan's Brass Thread

This is going to be a repository of projects I'm working on... I've got a few ideas on the go and figured I'd share the progress.

PG rebarreled with new centerfire length breech and
.680 Ti seamless tubing. I mocked it up with a KRain frame, still need to cut the quickstrip slot, clean up the solder joints and polish everything, and find my Speed Demon bolt back from wherever it ended up. Updates as they occur. 🙂

Jordan.. I hope you already realize this, but your talent is of the highest caliber. I have some TI tubing laying around, and I hope to make some similar shooters. Though my barrel material came in at .670, so I believe I need to hone it out to have a shot at using it.

I had the pleasure of meeting RAZRBAKK on my recent trip to BANFF, and you came up in conversation.( we were talking about how paintball is hurting up in the great white north, and how spread out you Canadian MCBrs are). We both had nothing but great things to say about you, but we both agreed that you in past havent given yourself enough credit for being talented at building beautiful guns, and seemingly whipping them up in a few hours on a weekend.

Now all fan boy comments aside. When you sleeve the ti tubing in brass, is there a shoulder in the brass sleeves to capture it? Or are you using some sort of epoxy to lock that ti tube in place?

Well, I appreciate all the, er, appreciation. 😉 I just try to build stuff I think looks cool is all.

There is indeed some sleeving happening. The Ti tube has a short bit of 21mm tube pressed over the breech end and is joined to the breech with a piece of 23mm tube that covers both breech and barrel to join them together. If you're using the Walz method, a short piece of Sheridan feed tube can be pushed over the barrel and then sleeved together with the usual 0.811 ID tube that he recommends, I've been using Amazon sourced tubing to avoid the shipping costs that Onlinemetals.com charges.
