Due to how cheap ions are in general I have been thinking of putting together a mech ion for fun. I know that TFGPB makes some kits so does SSC and I guess I could drop in a qev if I really wanted. I've heard that they also shoot way smoother then one would think, is this true?

Update:
Thank all of you guys for the help, the ion I ended up buying off eBay reportedly has a solenoid that only works some of the time, couldn't that be due to a low battery at the least? Keep in mind I can't test anything yet it's still In shipping, but I do still plan on making it mech, just wanna know if the boards salvageable

I'd try a battery first, if that doesn't work then either the noid is toast or some other part on the board is. If you're thinking of making it a mech gun then it matters not anywaysMy feedback +38/-0 on old MCB
