Basically. For all I know, stanch could've gotten permission to recreate the mounts. That was the only unique part. The rest are just commonly available.

I don't think TFG is gonna make them anymore.

Or, you can order smav3's & the t-barb direct from clippard, then all you need is stanchy's mount + hoses.
I'm building 2 of them... Already have the tbarbs and smav3s ordered. Going to design my own mount and 3d print.

What size t barbs did you buy? I was going to get a few from clippard but 1/16 to 2x 4mm or 5/32 wasnt an option on their site.

Here's a quick set of pictures I got with the grips off, sorta showing how short the action is. I recently aired it up and shot it in my backyard, it's pretty fun and I could easily see this being a back up or a loaner, works great and is pretty quiet

Did you end up finishing the build? Curious about DIY'ng one myself vs buying Stanchy's.

Not yet... Been busy and while I've got the parts set to get ordered, I still haven't done it. I plan on actually doing something with them into December. Keep an eye out for the build posts then.

Will the PPS QEV fit without frame modification? I'm hesitant to buy the 360* as it seems they have QC issues (at least according to the google machine).

the qev would thread into the front fitting on the firing can, vs in the frame It should fit, but depending on the body you have it could hit while rotating. I have a different qev thats really long and that requires a small radius cut out of the bottom of the stock body to thread all the way in. Now that I snapped a pic I think its a pps one lol. Look at my attached photo.

So that being said you either gotta float it with thread tape or locktite, rad your body, or get an adapter male to female 10-32. I want to be able to upgrade my body so I just got the pictured vibe QEV (4mm line) to try out. Hopefully it lasts longer than the small ones.

My plan is make a double barreled mech, but Im gonna use lucky paintball fitting for one ion. The other ions fitting will be the qev. The Lucky fitting has a 1/16th barb and a 5/32 tube connector on it as well as 10/32 threads. So i was going to take the 5/32 fitting to the vibe qev, then the 1/16th barb back to the smav3.

im hoping it works, and if it works the bolt forward motion should be niceand snappy. But im not sure how slow the return strokes will be though. Still waiting on them dang fittings or Id share more.

Speaking from past experience you'll need two QEVs - one for each Ion - to work properly, or one side will vent quicker than the other and depending on how you have it plumbed, end up with low or unbalanced velocity.

The qev won't affect the return stroke, only the firing cycle... pinched hoses or excessive length hose may affect return stroke slightly, but you're using 150+ psi to return the bolt vs. venting it to allow the bolt forward, so you should be good.

Wait, a mech ion needs a QEV? I was working on mine today and noticed low velocity. I actually shimmed them reg to get the pressure above 200psi and still saw wildly different velocity, using bore matched GI 4-star.

It's made a big difference on a couple of my builds, in particular the double Ions I've built.

Heres a post it of my plan. I figured the tube that takes vibe qev to tye lucky fitting should only be 2 inches long so the firing speed would be the same. Also, notice no barbed ts to get pinched.

If it doesnt work out ill get more fittings and qevs. Lol

                            You do you, bro.

If it works, it works. I know my last build required QEVs to get proper velocity, but I didn't use the same stuff you are, maybe you've got the perfect recipe.

Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Well, got it put together as per plan and attempted an air up last night. I got leaks to address, but the ions cant seem to get the valves balanced. Or arent getting enough air to the front to hold the bolts back. If I hold the trigger down. The bolts stay forward, giving me a chance to look at leaks. If the trigger isnt held they fire full auto oscilation style.

ill have to change something up later, but you cant blame for trying as the tubing would be clean if this worked like this.
