    eNMEy metal body kit?

Once upon a time the factory nub that a feedneck clamps onto broke off completely. The fact that it was in the chrono line at Decay of Nations was even more unfortunate. But, I brought several things to shoot that weekend, so no big deal.

when I got home I milled off the remaining nub and threaded the plastic body for an Impluse threaded neck. It lasted quite a while. Then I stopped playing for a while. Last weekend I played for the first time in 3 or so years and with a full revvy the neck gave way and tilted, but fortunately didn’t fall out. Pocket hopper for the rest of the day to avoid as much weight as possible.

Equally long ago, I got another Enemy (going to type it like that from now on so autocorrect can take a chill pill) and got a cool Shocktech body kit meant for an ion. The ion firing chamber is threaded, the Enemy is not. So I threaded it. I have an idea on a way to do this and keep the factory body, but I’m wondering if there ever was a metal body made for the Enemy. Bonus points if it was threaded for the typical SP neck threads.

Heres the 3 cracks in the factory plastic body:

I don't think so, but I had Super Stanchy Customs create a Franken-gun for me out of a Shocktech camo Ion body/firing can and eNMey trigger frame, vert ASA, internal guts. It worked pretty well. It popped up for sale here not that long ago which was a surprise, kind of forgot about it.

Here is my Enemy with an Ion body kit. I threaded the can for the neck just fine but the body was just barely too tight for the can to fit in. I’m not sure if the Ion can and the Enemy can are different diameters, or if the Shocktech body was just a little too small of a bore. I got it to fit by putting it in my lathe and turning it down so it fit. It didn’t take much, but it did get rid of the anno. Also, since the rear of the Enemy is easier to remove than the non-bolt out back Ion kit, I don’t get to put the back cap from the kit on. Maybe I should design and print a shroud so the cap doesn’t look quite so exposed.

That's just about exactly what my old one looks like haha. If I recall, I had to use an Ion firing can since the eNMEy can was just too big as you experienced and I didn't want to bother with having it milled down.

I looked and the Enemy can has grooves for eyes, but having never owned an Ion I don’t know if they are the same shape as what that used. There is an E-gun version of the Enemy called the Envy, I think, or something like that. Maybe those cans are interchangeable, but I think those have a nub coming off the plastic body as well to mount the neck. Seems like the Envy didn’t stick around very long.

Edit: Apparently I can’t figure out how to reply to a comment.

Ah yeah the Envy, makes sense. Also remember people would stick Envy bodies on their eNMEys.

Looks like the Extacy (not the way they spell it, JFC gog, have to make everything difficult?) has a plastic body kit with a threaded neck. But it also has triangular eye covers that the Enemy isn’t likely threaded for. I have no idea and don’t care enough to take one of mine apart to find out. Plastic body, not a long term solution IMO.

The GoG Extcy color kit is a must have if you want to change the color of your paintball gun. Just throw on the GoG Extcy Body kit and your gun will be looking good as new.
