Well yes there will be a little leak on a trigger pull and is only a problem if it doesn’t go away. It not really meant to be held down.
that velocity adjustment is not a only doing that, it a relief valve using a dual stage set screw(1/8 for the inner one) meant to bleed pressure in excess of 350psi.
‘’Insert a 1/8” wrench through the Velocity Adjuster Set Screw (S) and into the Regulator Relief Set Screw (V) and turn it slowly counterclockwise only until air/CO2 begins to escape through the Relief Valve. Then turn the set screw slowly back clockwise only until air/CO2 stops escaping, setting the relief pressure. NOTE: Do not turn any further clockwise which would set it higher than 350 psi.’’Dealer for: Roasted coffee and TechT products.

Try turning your velocity down and see if it does the same thing. I'm thinking it's that's over-pressure system as well

Just turning the velocity screw down did that, but is it also normal that there’s a slight puff of air that comes out of that area with every shot? There’s no leaking, but every time I pull the trigger, there’s like a tiny tiny little puff of air that comes out of that screw. So much that I can smell the nitro.

And yes you did build it for quite compact, I do find it a little ‘weird’ removing it ‘magfed’ option lol.Dealer for: Roasted coffee and TechT products.
