All my loaner procarbs are stock. Their reliability is their greatest asset. Does it shoot to velocity?

A VASA is the only thing I can think of that makes it an easier gun to handle. Maybe a barrel if you want it to be more pointable. Otherwise it's perfectly fine as is.

Barrel interior definitely looks like it needs a cleaning or replacement.

A12 or 14 “ barrel makes them easy to point, and makes them quieter from down range. . Can’t argue with a vasa for a foregrip, that’s how I run mine. You can lighten the trigger with springs and modifying the sera and hammer but they won’t last nearly as long. You can find lots of upgrades if you look hard enough but they are pretty rare these days. Rva’s, lightened hammers, Venturi bolts. Not necessary but can be fun to tune.

So cleaned the barrel with some 99% rubbing alcohol I had on hand. Much much cleaner now.

If this is going to stay a loaner & you don't want to put much work into it then I'd clean it up & leave it as-is. But some DIY stuff goes a long way. Some 1000 or 2000 grit automotive sandpaper on the hammer & sear is a good start.

Things I've done with my Pro Carb:
        -polished the hammer & sear
-bought an off-the-shelf spring from my local hardware store & made my own trigger spring (if you don't want to do this, a SL68-II trig spring works)
-ground down the width of the trigger face & contoured it with a Dremel
-nylon washers on the trigger pin on both sides of the trigger (no rubbing the inside of the frame when pulling it)
-masking tape around the cocking pin (less play & rattling)

Of these DIY mods, I'd say polishing the hammer/sear, a new trigger spring & contouring the trigger are the most important. Aftermarket parts are harder to find now, and the stock barrel works just fine. If anything, maybe try to find a VA. But DIY stuff goes a long way with Tippmanns. Mine was just fine before modification, but now it absolutely sings.

Just buy a pack of new detents (uses tippmann 98 orange detents) and put in a lighter trigger spring and you’re pretty much good to go. The barrel grip is probably going to point easier for a newbie than a VASA foregrip would anyway.

I put a stock a5 barrel and an ICD lever changer, AC.com stock feed adapter.

                this thing is fun

                280 fps +/- 5

                shoots great and is light

How many shots are you getting off a 12ie? I’d guess it’s pretty low

Barrel if you want something ported, vert asa if you don't like to grip the barrel, and RVA to make chrono tuning easier.

I’m getting 19 good shots. Which is fine for recball.
I am used to playing stock class or pump with a small hopper. So I don’t feel outgunned.

I use a spring feed and a 13/3k, but it’s a prolite so it gets half that on a 12ie lol.

Did something similar to this as my introduction to limited paint a few years back. Man I need to get mine back on the field and take a break from pump ha ha
