    Tippmann 98C rebuild kit

Last time it was used was when my son was 10...he is 25 now.
Actually, my son went to use it when he was 18 but needed to get a rental as he said pbs just fell out of the front.

I understand there are just o-rings in it... But is there a kit or listing of what is needed for a full rebuild? Will follow up once working again with upgrade tike..if any are recommended.

Ran through a mess of pages here and some cool stuff...

98 custom End Game Compression barrel - awesome upgrade
Red dot -for looks but did work
    Rap4 extendable stock
    Tippmann A-5 auto feeder
Tippmann response trigger with bigger fittings for more air flow
    Dual finger trigger
    Stock hopper
    Low profile hopper
    50 round hopper

4500 psi tank with remote line or use protective jacket and mount to marker

Quite honestly. I bet a new ball detent, and a good cleaning gets it shooting again.

Yeah there really isn’t much to them. Good cleaning is probably all it needs. Might even get away with putting a few drops of oil in the Asa and cycling it through with some air. It likely just needs a new detent they are easy to find.

That tank is likely going to need to be hydro tested or might need to be replaced depending on its age.

Yup. Likely your getting ball being forced down past the missing or stuck down detent. If it was stored for a long time without the hammer locked back it pushes the detent down and it loses its ability to hold balls back before firing you will get rollouts especially with a large bore barrel. Today’s paint is small (.681 small) lots of Tippman barrels have larger .689 barrel bores. So if your detent is shot they will just roll right out.

Replacing the detent give it a good cleaning is likely all it needs. Few drops of marker oil in the ASA after cleaning put air to it and cycle it through. I bet that thing shoots great for you again. If you can find a smaller bore barrel or barrel back that works on your current barrel you have you might see even better performance. The barrel you have is a cool barrel I would try and find like a .682 to .681 adapter that fits in between your marker and barrel.

But start with the detent it’s likely all you need.

I concur. Clean thoroughly(ish) and replace detent before doing anything else. Make sure you place the detent in the correct position (the finger sticking up should match the contour of a ball in the chamber)
