Hopefully I will get some time to test it out soon. Ended up moving some parts around to other projects and picking up an AA Vigilante because I’ve always wanted one. Its actually in really good shape with a brand new pin, seat, and pin spring. I was surprised by that. Hopefully no leaks but it’s a really cool and simple reg so it wouldn’t be too hard to fix.

I’ve had this CP gas thru for a while now. It’s bounced around on multiple different projects but ended up not being used. I started making all my volumizer “stacks” shorter for aesthetics and the good gas thru grips I have are too long. This one though, had like a solid 1/2” maybe 3/4” of length of material that could be cut off before getting to the 1/8 npt inlet on the bottom. I cut that off and polished it up good and then put a gauge in the inlet. It’s pretty short now, compared to most other gas thrus.

Trbo323 I could go full retard and tap the side into the valve recess and run a line to an RT. It would always be under pressure though so I think I’d need a 3 way right? Or maybe just run the RT off a LPR to a 3 way then to the RT. Imagine the side eyes. They’ll probably think I’m a badass until a 12 year old with a rental Emek lights me up because my arms are dead from slingin this brick around. In staging I’ll just say I wasn’t trying hard because I like to grow the sport or some other stupid shit lol when in fact I was pushing these old bones to the max

I bet if you ran the rt off of a LPR it would be really controllable. Just run the air line some dumb way. Up and over the body, to a T that then has a pressure gauge on it etc.

I mean with a RT you could sling some paint so all the air lines would feel justified to someone watching

Everything went back in the Pro-Lite. The 68 floating valve eventually springs a leak after a couple bags of paint and I’m getting tired of disassembling it and slathering it up with DOW 111. Those rope wax rings are pretty important I guess. I did build out a CVX valve 68 Carbine I’ll be selling soon.

I got some of those new main spring from Captain o-ring. First one I tried putting in kinked up and bent, ruined. Tried a 2nd one and it was feeling like it was going to happen again. I cut 1” off and it went in fine. So it’s a 6” main spring. It feels lighter than the stock so we will see how it goes. I do have a high velocity 98/A5 spring from MCSUS that measures almost 6” and man that thing is a SLAMMER. Haven’t tried any of this with air yet but once I do I’ll post up a shooting video with chrono.

14” OG Tippmann Sniper barrel I polished. It’s got a PE barrel grip over the circular porting that most Tippmann barrels have.

Pro-Line power feed/VASA

ShockTech gloss green gas thru with x2 1/8 npt ports. The Pro-Line VASA was definitely made to flow CO2 so its airflow channel is pretty restricted. I bypassed it by coming straight off the gas thru and then up an in to the valve reduction fitting. The Pro Line has an un-used 1/8 npt port so it would be a perfect spot for a gauge.

I want to say the RVA is a Pro Line as well. It’s got 2 holes on the sides for a hog ring if you want to add a sling and the locking set screw is on the front.

I didn’t polished the hammer, power tube, or put in a lightened valve spring. I did change out all the o rings though. Airs up and shoots but I need to chrono it before I sell it to make sure it’s up to snuff. It’s got dings all over it. It came with this rail on it and you can see the scratching it left behind on the body. I’m throwing the rail in with it. I also got a 2nd Pro Line power feed/VASA that I might throw in or sell separate.

Finally got a chance to chrono and test today…..

The Pro-Lite is consistently shooting 426-438fps at 850psi…. Looks like I need to track down a female regulator because until then this thing is taking a seat on the shelf until it’s safe to use. Shoots amazing though. Not a single break in the barrel in about 50 shots.

68 Carbine is shooting 290-304 fps darts at 850psi. Surprised me, the OG Sniper barrel has to be like a .689-.692 barrel and the paint was .680-.682. I’ll be selling it soon. I’ll try here first before I go to EBay.

The steel braided kept loosening up on the valve end. Even after letting blue loctite cure for days. I just wasn’t able to get many threads engaged with a wrench (I tried a few) because of the tight space. I picked up a 1/8 npt extender from Palmers and it worked great. I was able to get the extender fully threaded in to the valve using a socket wrench. Then I attached the steel braided to the extender.

With the Pro Lite you want some slack in the line. If it’s too tight or at a bad angle you are going to impair valve movement. After installing the extender and running your line to your ASA, place your thumbs on the line as close to the extender as possible. Thumbs over and under, and grip the top of the body. Make sure the hammer is cocked back. Marker with the barrel pointed towards the floor use your thumbs to press down on the line and the valve should move forward then move back when you stop pressing. It should take a little effort but not too much. You shouldn’t have to strain yourself.

Swapped the 32 Degrees barrel grip with a APP one. Feels a lot better. I had to slip a barrel grip under it so it wouldn’t wobble. The Deadlywinds barrel is pretty slim.

Just need a female HPR and it’s all done.

Like the look with the APP foregrip, what is the purpose of the procedure you described about valve movement, or did I just answer my own question?

Thanks Cal440. The procedure is just a check to make sure the valve is moving back and forth unimpaired. The line needs a bit of slack and the fitting going in to the valve should look midline. Any pull to one side or the other is going to throw velocity off. Same with back and forth pull, the valve shouldn’t be displaced forward or backward by the line.

I have a question. I have a sight rail for this. It’s an old Pro-Line Tiger rail. I’ve never used a sight on anything but this powerfeed obstructs over the top and the right side for aiming. I’ve always heard sights are no good on any marker but could one be used to get a clean picture when aiming over the top?

Yeah, this is totally viable. I run a little Daisy red dot on my carbine above my rear sight. It's not perfect and would be a totally unacceptable setup on a .22, but you can get close enough to point of impact one one of these to be able to approximate where the ball will land at 50 yards, and therefore use it as a long range sight. More importantly, it's a very clear sight picture. One on a raised sight rail will theoretically be able to reach even further due to height over bore compensating for how quickly balls drop.

This weekend had me questioning why I ever shoot anything besides my prolite. I did switch to the hopper in the afternoon but that was only because my 10 round tube holders are failing and dropping my tubes and I kept forgetting my feed plug tether broke and I dropped it twice while reloading. But I had at least three headshots, shot at least three guys while they were on the move, and had a few gun/ hand hits ‘cause that’s all I get shown by the heroes im shooting at most of the time. Also, on my last game I tripped while foolishly leaping over a log and went hands and face first into a pile of rocks. Thanks goodness for my prolite and flex 8 or I’d be a less. My whole hopper was soup and I couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn but the gun kept plugging away. God I love this thing. Besides the obvious mods , a polished barrel, and a homemade rva this thing has a bone stock valve train and a spring at least a decade old. Had to turn it down cause it was shooting 303 on 800/850ish psi hpa.
On a side note, store your tippmanns with the hammer cocked. It does not affect your mainspring, but the converse ruins your detent. I’ve stored this thing cocked for years now and it does not shoot lower velocity as a result.

Thats a great looking rig! I would love to have something so light, but the way my home field runs games is ammo intensive by design. If I had the opportunity to flank more, it would be awesome. These were game changers for my outlaw group back in the 90s. Some people are just bad at doing a proper pump stroke. These allowed those boneheads to just go out and play. Its amazing how well they still perform 30 years later.

Nah it works out. I can hold 12 rounds, plus carry 10 tubes. There’s rarely more than 112 people on the other team so I’m good to go lolololol jk
