Seems a lot like the gun has far more to do with the signature than the barrel.
That being said, on autocockers/snipers (the quietest "normal" platform) I've had great results with CCM barrels, SP teardrop, and Stella barrels. The Stella and Dye boomsticks seem to be the quietest I've tried recently.
I had a 10 inch All American many years ago that was very quiet.
My stainless steel Dye Boomstick (drilled for inserts) on my Etek3 is the second quietest I can recall shooting.
Smart Parts had a patent on the surface area of a barrel's ports matching or exceeding the surface area of the bore diameter. I don't know if they ever enforced it, or if it is still valid, but it was interesting. My favorite barrels for being quiet are 14" 1pc. barrels with lots of ports. Lurker 1pc and the Driver X barrels are great. CP shoots just as well and is easier to find, but I don't think its quite as quiet.
If you really want 2pc, look for kits with barrel fronts smaller than .70 cal. The Stella barrels, Carbon IC, and Furious barrels all had this feature.
I would say an one piece barrel with small bores first and 14"+ lengh. But the marker(open or closed bolt, Poppet or Spool) and the Paint(should fit well to barrel, have a round shape) are important factors !

Example one: a short barrel and to much gas/high pressure behind(cause of the marker valve) = loud ; Example two: small portings let over pressure slowly release = quiet
As higher the working pressure of the marker, as longer the barrel schould be, to get as quiet as possible but ... many factors 🙂
I think people are overthinking this question. The quietest barrel will be the one with the tightest fit to the paintball that doesn't break it and longest unported length that allows the paintball to exit at 280-300fps while the air behind it, upon exit, is at ambient air pressure. That will vary by gun a bit, but realistically I don't think there's a barrel on the market long enough to qualify. So, go long.
I feel like barrels are so marker dependent. I really like a UL on most of my PE markers. Especially the spool valve ones. I have spent a lot of time messing with my phantom trying different barrels. The phantom definitely has more bark on HPA over Co2 so even propellant sources can change a markers sound. One thing for sure is a good tight fitting bore is key to keeping it quiet. I’m running a freak bored one piece phantom UL on it now. It’s the only one I found quieter than the stock barrel for my phantom. I always wanted to try one of those cocker to phantom adapters and see what it did for cocker threaded body’s.
Carbon fiber barrels always seem to be a bit more quiet than aluminum. Deadlywind Fibur barrels are probably the most quiet, I imagine the SP version is similar but I haven't done a side to side comparison.

Can't believe it took this long for someone to say CF! Love my Dealywinds Null barrel. Bought it in 10" for my TM7 so it seems a bit short when I put it on other guns but I still love it. Also incredibly light.

Same. I use a DW Whip tip on my freak. It's stupid quiet. Course it helps that the gun I use it on, my Trilogy, has a morph valve which in and of itself is stupidly quiet. But yeah. CF. It's great.

My Kaner kits are pretty quite, which I find surprising because the porting on an old empire trracer barrel I have is almost the same and that thing sounds like a cannon.
