Video quits to blue screen at about the ten-minute mark. Doesn't look like a recording error, actually looks like the tape itself was blank after that point, because there's another hour of blank blue screen from there on.

I haven't had time to watch it, but I did verify start, finish, and ~12 points in the movie that I skipped to randomly. Used multiple media players as well; VLC, (Win 10 default) Movies & TV player, and my media server setup = Jellyfin Docker with Jellyfin Desktop App (Win 10).

Maybe it's my download, then. But why would it give me an hour of blue screen?

Maybe an issue with the upload? Has anyone else gotten a good copy?

Download a success. Did a quick scroll through to check quality, seems good. Tons of old school goodies to identify.

Uploading to youtube now, might take a while to process and who knows if it will get flagged for copywrite before it's even fully up.

I'll give it overnight and I'll try to post a link tomorrow morning since it's getting late.

And the previews before the movie from the VHS are fully intact. Pure gold there, in a "holy crap, that guy did that movie way back then?!?" kind of way.

Well, that was faster than I thought. A few claims popped up on background music, so any ads that show up are their fault, they get the money for it.

For what it's worth, YouTube made it 360p only.

720p is up now. It just takes a little while for all of the formats to populate. Worth noting - this is upscaled. VHS resolution topped out around 400p, and was typically 240p.

I know VHS was lower quality. But I've seen some surprisingly good looking tape rips. I figured 480p must've been the commercial norm, or something.
