    Visors: Worth it or Worthless?

Never used one. Do they do the job, or is it more worth while to just get a dark lens? Clear lens is best in my opinion, but also don't want to go blind when it's sunny. Downsizing some stuff, JT Proshield always been my go-to but lens changes suck.

I wear mine in my flex all the time. When being agg mattered I wore a hat forward.

Love them, I'm convinced they created many bounces that would otherwise have been breaks

Like the option for a visor. Not a fan that most of the high end masks don’t come with them anymore.

I find they are useful to keep rain away and keep the lens from hitting surfaces like on a table or something. Generally run smoke lenses so the shade isn't really a factor there.

Always have liked visors. Generally have them on all
my masks. Never gotten into the new super expensive masks though. My most current mask is a Grill.

I run a visor on a couple of my masks, a proflex and a Spectra (proshield whatever) for old school points. I don't think they get any bounces at all but they definitely look cool. There were a couple days in the middle of summer where they shaded the lens and prevented sun glare on the lens. On the other hand I've definitely gotten bounces off my headband so no visor is probably the way to go if you're angling for bounces.

always been a fan of them. primarily for glare reduction in the mask which I always found super distracting.

I keep a cap on for head and hair protection, but I used to run all visors when on outdoor fields.

I find they are more useful for rain than sun.

If you don't play in the rain a lot a tinted or gradient lens is a great alternative

I like visors for reasons above explained. Rain hitting the anti fog layer of your lens and or the upper portion of the gasket seems to ruin your day quick.

On top of that i have had issues a few times when playing in open field courses with no visor. Where the sun cuts through the vent holes in the top, and shines on the inside of the lens with a diffused light. it essentially blinds you. That also makes visors a plus for me.

Lastly, i have too gotten a few bounces from my visors. That would have ended up a lens hit hat it not been there. To me they are a must.

Agreed. Also keeps paint out if you get whacked in the head.

I always use visors. Rain, paint splatter and glare is all reduced. And I personally think JT masks look better with them.

Since I tend to run a vortex II with my flex, the visor basically stays on all the time to hide that ugly thing.
It's also great when it rains, which seems to be every time I go to play

I’ve taken an obscene amount of bounces off my headband, as much as I’d like to run a visor. Plus, every time I’ve hit someone’s visor, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them all break.

But if you live in an area where the sun is just brutal, plenty of rain, or run a clear lens, I’d probably take the visor 100% of the time.
