I'm working on getting a 50/45 re-hydro'ed at the moment, I also picked up some qd's and have s few different options to roll with. So got it so that she can try remote line setup, or small tank with the maverick until I can afford a lighter semi for her. I have a 9v non xboard revvy and a mag, but the body/barrel set up on my minimag is way too heavy for her. All input is good input and it helps me a lot!
I could have sworn I had something important to put here...

Yeah unless it's a x valve, a mag is going to be on the heavy side, remote or not

Drop forward man! If you are worried about the balance, that's the whole reason they were invented. You can pull the whole setup in closer to your shoulder while still having something to brace against your shoulder

I second drop-forwards. Might add a touch bit of weight in parts but it's offset with the re-balancing of the whole rig.

So, I think we have a solution for both her and myself. I officially know I suck at shooting old Brass that isn't a pgp, so you'll be seeing that lb up for trade shortly. Went to a new field and the owner was kind enough to let her use an azodi kp3. Between the weight and overall package size once she got into the rhthym she was KILLING it. I'm gonna be looking at one for her here shortly. I have 200% figured out I suck with old brass, so Imma try and trade up for a basic vsc phantom, something I know I can shoot. I think a KP3 is the plan for now, since I have a few 13 ci's and a 50/45 peanut that fits her tiny frame perfectly. As for me, I need to trade for a phantom and get a 68 for this mag. Pretty solid day of play all around. Thank you everyone again for your input!

Get a valve cap from Kit for your Mag, run an external reg, and you'll shave a considerable amount of weight off. If you're looking to reduce weight.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

What I do need is some new goddamn macroline fittings, but I'll keep that in mind for sure. I don't mind the weight at all, thought it was a lot of fun. I do however need to clean it as I pretty much ate it in a dust bath, and was having problems shooting after that. I will for sure want to drop weight in the future on it, but I'm okay with it for now. But will look into it!

If you don’t mind spending a lil the 15ci 4.5k FS tank is amazing. I ran one on Cougar20th’s “Loaner Mag” with a 50 round hopper and dye UL at ReaperBall a few weeks ago. The Mag was lighter then my kitted VSC phantom with a stock. I think Chuck Love got some pictures of it. It handled really well. I ran a Winchester but I think it would feed even better with my JOLO hopper.

I set my wife up with my Emek with a 45/45 and an LTR. She plays hopper ball with it. Most games I shot more with my stick feed pump. Then she did with my Emek. I gave her a pump but she didn’t like the extra step especially because she has only played a handful of times.

I have run my Emek the same way 15ci FS tank and JoLO and it’s a blast. It’s a semi auto, phantom lightweight feel, with PE reliably. I actually like the setup a lot myself for big games.

I think I saw that one and was like "That. I wanna do that." But I'm still tuning this thing in, and I'll need to get a better barrel for sure. The lapco bigshot is fun but man it really does weigh a ton, especially in stainless. Gotta get a docs adapter and some cocker threaded barrels for sure.

Yeah a stainless barrel is going to add a lot of weight. Weight out toward the end of the marker probably isn’t the best. I bet just an aluminum or CF barrel would help. Keeping the weight back I found makes the marker handle and feel lighter to. I think most of your weight comes from the tank and hopper but that SS barrel isn’t helping maters.
