You said that last time, what paint you shoot? Im all over the place when it comes to paint sizes. Its okay though cause it just means i get to use a different barrel today. and i got lots of cool barrels.

Mostly HK paint. In fairness I don't bother testing paint anymore. I could probably use a size or 2 higher, I just don't bother. I don't have problems with it, and I have so many inserts that I need to leave one in my freak back to get it all to fit in my barrel case anyway. So I just leave the .675 in, and don't bother fiddling with any other inserts.

.682, mostly. Sometimes smaller, sometimes a bit bigger.

I usually rock a 689 or at tournaments 691. And no I don't check bore size, and yes I just "shoot through it"

689 or 682 depending on the weather.

Same here. .685 is a nice tight overbore for the .681 paint I've been shooting. Sometimes I'll run a .689 on some guns to use the stock barrel and that works great except the spread is just a bit larger but overall is better for shooting fragile/inconsistent paint.

For closed bolt I normally use a .681 insert/back but have been bumping up to .682 with minimal rollouts and fewer barrel breaks.

I don't worry about bore size with an open bolt gun.

I think it's important for closed bolt.

Ok real truth time, it just makes me "feel" better that the paint "fits". Hell if the paint doesn't roll out or break in the barrel, and goes where I'm pointing when shooting, honestly I don't care what bore size the barrel is.

It's weird that my mag seems to hit the same things with my old 689 stainless dye, or the 682 freak...(now that the pot is properly stirred I shall let it simmer 😋

I agree. The only times that I think it is worth it to worry about it much is is there is a problem (Rollouts or lots of breaks) or if you are running 12ies and your efficiency is bad.

.684 lapco barrel with .676 and .680 breech sizers as needed for my sniper. I probably use the .680 most of the time but the .676 gets some use and I can occasionally just use the barrel. The open bolt semis don’t matter.

                        Tie between .680 or .685

I only shoot cockers, and haven't used anything bigger than a .682 in years. My most frequent use are .679 or .680. I've played at two different big games in the last year and used a .675. You just need to stay within .005 to get the best results (more and you're likely to get breaks or enough drag that it's causing problems), and really don't want to be where you're able to blow through. Consistency in paintball is accuracy, and you'll either want where the ball is fully touching the barrel all the way around (underbore) or not touching consistently (over). With a cocker, overbore is out. So, like I said, nothing bigger than a .682.

.679, .682, .684 seems to be my go to inserts

677, 682, 687 give all the range one needs. I usually use 682 and don’t even sizing unless the paint is ginormous.

.675 up until yesterday (Saturday) when I had to use a .678. Hottest day I've played this year so far, and it's always humid.
