Worst setup you've seen

    Did we say best or worst? I lost track... 🤣



    This was passing around during the pre-MCB 3.0 days. I realized that all my Multiple Switch barrel bodies connected together and was goaded into throwing it over the chorno. OK. It wasn't very consistent from high 200-320fps. After some adjustments, I was pushed to see if I could get some full court shots. OK. Then I was persuaded to play a full game with it. OK! After gogging a dude on a bridge on the castle siege field up top at CaveBall from a half court snap shot... I was satisfied and done for the day.

      Speaking of those barrels...

      I recently found out that the barrel tip of my Hammer 7 barrel is also the same as the barrel bodies. We're truly living in the future!

        I don't know if that makes barrel tagging easier or more difficult. And is that a Sterling?

        I think I had a missed opportunity to make a mad dash to the castle walls to barrel tag a player but I was politely asked to not make any pushes and stay at the rear of the field. From what I heard, it pissed people off that I was moving like a speedball player with that monster from the back bunkers. I guess to answer your question... No, it was a terrible idea. My arms were killing me, hence making it difficult for an actual barrel tag. (I think)

              Totally agree, but oh how the new players love this stuff. A-5s and X-7s are my bread and butter for fixing up and selling and all the extra heavy, completely pointless parts are what new people want. I literally tell people who buy them that the extra bits do nothing but make the gun super heavy and they don’t care. As long as the gun has that “look” they are happy.

              Cdn_Cuda, you say 'new players' but I never see as high of a density of these things than when going to a scenario game. I think it's a particular mentality. I'd have thought that they migrated to airsoft by now.

              I think it's the Call of Duty effect. They play it, want to have toys that look like it and then want to play it as paintball. It's definitely particular type of person that looks for these things. My "new player" comment is more locally-based as people that buy this type of gun from me are usually new to paintball and just starting out.

            A stock PT Enforcer. Could not get it to ever shoot over 250, the bolt stuck because it was so poorly machined, and the bore on a fixed barrel was sized for a 15 lb bowling ball. The guns were completely useless. Never hated a gun more, and it was unsuable.

                    Sorry to unearth this dead thread but I just got this peeg and have always said that double triggers look ultra dumb on pumps, so I made it happen. You know, for SCIENCE!

                    Behold, my brass beauty with a Cocker tray and my WGP 2x trigger frame!


                    And no, it's not staying this way. It already isn't even remotely close to this look right now.

                        The ones with the mag holders under the barrel remind me of the mechguns from Phantasy Star Online. Cool looking, but I imagine those sound/look better on paper than in practice.

                      I used to have one of the newer, longer barreled (2k1?) Pgps. It didn't shoot over 240 fps, was well overbored for the paint we saw around 2010, and had a palmer speedfeed that wasn't quite lined up with the breech so you had to hold it just so to get it to feed. I slapped a sergi kframe on it and ran around with it at big games for about 2 years. It performed terribly, but it was exciting as hell when I got an elimination. Playing with it is what really taught me how to move around a field to find better shots as I'd never win a straight up firefight.

                      I also had a springfed nasty houndstooth with vertical air. It was poorly balanced and the retaining grooves for reloading the springfeeds weren't quite deep enough, so if you held it too vertically to reload it would spit the paint back at you. I used it at a couple scenarios and it was a great discussion piece/wall hanger but useless in a game. It probably took a full minute to reload under fire. I have some pretty good memories with it, spending 2 minutes reloading with 3 electros converging on me and losing 4 full tubes of paint before finally getting some to stay. I ended up taking one of them out before reinforcements showed up. I grew to dread reloading it so much I ran around barrel tagging everyone. At this point I think brass isn't good for much except hanging on the wall.
