Paintball pants with thigh protection?

Does this exist? I have a friend who took a shot to the thigh from 10’ and it hurt her for literal months before finally healing. I know this isn’t normal, but I’d like to help her find some lowers that offer a bit more protection.

Paintball slider shorts will focus on high-hip and perhaps knee protection. I think baseball/football compression gear may have some good options for the thigh area.

One thing they could try is a sports girdle like Ringette players wear (or maybe roller hockey players). It provides padding on hips, groin, butt and thighs but it a lot lighter than hockey pants. Would fit under paintball pants.

Are you talking quads/top of thigh, or hamstring/bottom of thigh, or I suppose the IT band/outside of thigh?

Something like this has hips, quads, and knees plus tailbone padding.

Specifically like inner thigh, right above the knee area.

Not a lot of pants focus on the inner-thigh since that area usually needs a lot of flexibility. Some of the older Invert or Valken pants have wider padding at the top of the thigh, and maybe wear a size up for more material.

Undershorts will probably be the most likely option to help with that area though. Must have been an unlucky shot.

Not cheap but the only paintball specific protection that has dedicated padding for thighs but does not cover inner thigh CRBN SC PRO BOTTOM
I have a set I have not tried out yet but several players I play with swear by them (why I bought a set)

I always wear some sliding shorts. Baseball and football compression designs with hip pads have done the best.
Paintball specific pads are softer, but I find that they wear out quicker.

Baggy heavy weight BDU sets keep me from looking like I tangled with an octopus after a day of play, especially with this tiny hard assed paint.
If your friend can get over looking like a 1994 woodsball throwback, and can deal with extra material weight, it works great.
A close shot to a tender part is going to suck unless you are wrapped in a yoga mat, thick baggy stuff makes it suck less.

Nothing really protects inner thighs. I think layers and or heavy denim pants would be the best bet. I use 5.11 Tac Jeans and due to the thickness it absorbs 90% of the sting. They are just heavy and don’t breath as well as paintball specific pants. I never really feel or even get welts on my legs with them. Mostly get them when I use thin breathable stuff. But 5.11 and a lose renegade you will sweat your butt off in the heat but it eats paintballs. Ashley uses an OG pair of Denim JT pants I’m to fat for.

Sunday I was wearing a whole leg compression sleeve, thick knee compression sleeve, and crbn kneepads. Still managed to leave a mark on inner thigh when i got hit. I'm fair skinned and that area is crazy sensitive.

I want to say that I had a pair of proto pants for a while and that they had knee protection that start above the knee and might protect the area your talking about. And I used to wear a pair of Empire Ground pounder slide shorts to help with the diving and sliding bruises but something like those may help too.

Old school invert pants have solid protection! I had a similar thing happen when I was getting into the sport. Took 12 shots to my inner right thigh from less than 5 feet and was recommended by a couple people back in the day.
