But, once again Ecap was right!

Just got a message from the great grandson of the inventor/developer who is offering details and photos of the guns and backstory. And, he says they have a bunch of parts, enough to make a fair number of complete guns, that have been sitting in the corner of a warehouse since Gramps and Great-Gramps passed them on to Dad many years ago.

He didn't really imply they wanted to sell, but were definitely interested in telling the story, and sharing the photos. I will definitely be adding to this or making a fresh post once I have more of the story.

    Well!!

I was half joking because of knowledge of extrusion runs.... But wow! Definitely interesting.

The reason I scoffed was simple logic. The extrusion likely had little use beyond making that particular gun, and that particular gun has been out of production for forty years. While it's not impossible somebody might just stick it in the corner and forget about it- obviously - the greater likelihood was that it had been scrapped and recycled long ago.

But, this is definitely one case where I'm happy to be proven wrong.

WOW, just stumbled on this thread. Here's something that really stands out to me: How much the form factor follows the convention of the time (two tube pistol). The guy obviously had the money to go in any direction but, he chose a familiar/conventional layout. It looks so similar, I wonder how many folks just dismissed seeing it as a Sheridan. I bought my Bushmaster in 88-89 from Skirmish the Store and, at that point, all the 'upgrades' were then standard, leaving no room this one.

    Very cool.

This is fantastic! I have never heard of puma but it is also way before my time. This is a great piece of paintball history. I'm glad you posted and love to learn from ya'll. Phenomenal work on this!

Still haven't heard back about the stash. Still hoping, but I can't do anything 'til they get back to me.
