    The Ex-Wife: Another Vee-Twin!

Just started another Vee-Twin I thought I'd show you ladies and gents, and this one's gonna be a little special. The soon-to-be new owner has dubbed it The Ex-Wife, partly as a riff off Hammer's "Bunker Buster" missile from Iron Man, and partly because that's about how much it's gonna cost when it's done.

As usual, we started with a nice big ingot of aluminum, 3" round 6061:

Why round? It's the only way I can get a bar thick enough, locally, without special-ordering. (And if I ordered it, I'd have to buy a full stick, either 12 or 20 feet- and you gents aren't ordering enough of these to make that worthwhile. )

Anyway, after a few minutes, round becomes square...

Square becomes a literal bucketload of tiny chips...

And once those chips are removed, lo the form of a wonder is revealed.

That's as far as I got today, but I'm hoping to have this wrapped up- at least my part of the build- before the end of the month. Stand by!

Can you glue those chips together to make a "factory seconds" Vee Twin?

-I can do anything, as long as you draw the diagram on the back of a big enough check.

(Although I will say that, with the advent of people using 3D printers to make casting molds, I've wanted to print an ornate, carved 'Cocker body, something that looks like it came out of a Victorian mansion or something, and have that cast in aluminum. It'd actually be pretty easy these days, assuming you can draw the thing digitally, first, and have the money to have it rammed and cast afterward. )

Half? More like about a quarter. The bulk of the work is in the lower tube, and you still need that.

That'd help you tuck into a bunker even better, wouldn't it?

Make modular left and right leaners with optional linkages? Make it so you can stack them .

There IS a limit to how many barrels one valve can feed, you know.

What about 2 valves so you can get sequential firing by adjusting the lagg in 3bways? 😅

Had a few minutes on the schedule, so sliced a little bit more away.

And why is the "Ex-Wife" so special? Well, here's a hint...

I wish I had a solid update for y'all, but my summer so far has been so busy I'm falling behind on nearly everything.

Stand by, I'll get to it.
