So one of these two guns looks better…massively better even…than the other one to you and not because of the color?

You have a good eye. To me they look like a 2013 Ford Focus and a 2014 Ford Focus…identical, not to just themselves but every modern speedball gun.

WTF is that a picture of? It’s almost as offensive as airsoft.

They both look bland but one has the excuse that its cheap while the shocker increased the price for imo a big downgrade in milling. They did fix the prolapsed booty hole backcap tho which was the only aesthetic issue I had with the shocker amp.

No offence, but you must be blind or belligerent unwilling to not see the difference here. If you said you couldn't see the difference between, say, a DM9 and a DM10, I could understand. But the guns in the OP are wildly different from each other.

And I'm sure you're able to tell the difference between a PMI Trracer and an backbottle right feed phantom without looking at the names.

I feel like I must be super lame because I see everyone making fun of this, but I kind of like it, it’s very clean! I won’t buy SP products though, so I’m not their target audience unfortunately. They could have sold at least one of them! 😅

I definitely don't hate it.... I've considered getting a modern mech shocker because I really like three of the color ways. But let's see what they do with these

Yeah I’ve thought of picking up a used CVO myself, those are cool! Be interesting to see if they do something similar with this, as you said.

It won't be long before these hit the used market, I think they look fine. I think the best looking marker ever was the Eclipse Shocker, and I honestly think Smart Parts and all of their related brands have been very good in the looks department as they have always had a private label version of stuff available if you don't like the stock look.

Yep, those guns look the same too. Like current spec NASCAR vs previous spec NASCAR. They’re different, maybe even a lot different…but only a devotee can really recognize it.

Toob is a toob, but I would sure rather have that automag than that shocker

The soft knurling on the barrel makes it look like something HK would make, if it was trying to make a knock-off of PE aesthetics.

The foregrip looks like it has a protective cover on over the real foregrip, but somehow the double-wrapped foregrip is still too narrow.

The trigger looks like they took the best parts of a blade trigger and a duece trigger, put them together, gave that design to someone else, and then made a trigger out of the worst parts of both.

The hard, slippery, plastic portions of the rear grip looks like they just took the plastic parts of the AMP and cranked them all up a bit.

The back cap looks like they took the easy-to-grip cap from the AMP and replaced it with something meant to punish everyone without long nails, just so kids can call it "clean" until the next gun comes out in a few days. Same with the ASA knob.

I always thought I liked simple, minimalist gun designs. Smart Parts just made me re-evaluate that.

Unless the new super-secret bolt does something revolutionary, like inject a little extra PEG into every ball to bring modern paint up to .68 caliber, I don't think this is a new gun. It looks like a Shocker AMP 1.05. An AMP with "updated" milling, that happens to reduce machining cost per unit by $3.50

                      Well said.

You forgot to mention the odd, out of place diagonal slashes at the front of the body and, most offensive, on the eye covers.

You want your eye covers to blend in, not stick out. That is the single detail that bothers my aesthetic preferences the most.

All tube markers from the last ten years look like this to me, so I don't get what's so offensive about it.

I gotta say I really dislike the trend of the rubberized foregrips on speedball markers. I remember immediately wanting to replace my ions reg because of the ugly/uncomfortable reg cover they added to cheaply match the plastic body kit. If I'm paying over a few hundred dollars for a marker I want as little plastic as possible.
