In my pursuit of a high speed VL revolution BrickHaus was kind enough to donate a tsunami impeller.

today I had some spare time (after mandatory post-thanksgiving Christmas decorating) because my wife fell asleep from excess lunch turkey, so I decided to do a little spearmint.

100 balls were placed in a pod, balls were replaced when broken and other balls/revy/pod were wiped out.

each impeller got 10 timed trials through the same VL revolution using the same batteries. (Should have used fresh batteries at the beginning of each impellers testing, but I’m lazy and the battery box was upstairs)

the results are as follows:



the tsunami impeller was noticeably faster at the beginning of each of its tests, but as the hopper emptied it seemed to take a couple balls for a ride around a couple of times, increasing its time significantly.

even with that drawback, the tsunami still managed to outperform the standard impeller, which is good, because I tested that one second and don’t want to disassemble the hopper again.

in short - for years I’ve heard that revys feed “about 10bps” and now I know that it’s true.

If I come across one, we will find out for sure. I have a weird off brand one, but it didn’t fit

They work perfectly with electro markers with eyes. Used one on a ln LV1.6 and had no issues with it capped at 10 on semi.

Recently got another one on the way with X-Board and JmJ to pair with the scout body Emek, I can't seem to stay away from them.

I feel like we have the exact same gear. I have a 1.6, an emek, and a few cockers/snipers

I felt filthy using the 1.6 lol. And recently narrowed everything down to just an Emek, but still find myself in the lookout for cool old snipers.

I’m going to play a turkey bowl game this Sunday with no bps cap that I’ve heard of, so the electro is gonna be necessary

This is MCB, where the best players use the least paint. If I can do it with one, I don't need the other 69.

Aggitated hoppers are nice if you use a drop 10 to fill your 10 round toobz 😆. I fill all mine with an Eggy and it's very satisfying

I wonder how slow mine is, it has 2 blades and takes a single 9v, but at least the plastic seems invincible

You're looking at like 7 or 8 bps. I have a 9v Revy too. It's noticably slower than the 12v.

Anyone remember the WAS board for the Revy? Would be cool if you could test one of those.

Yep, it was made by Wicked Air Sportz. They also made a popular board for the AKA Viking and other guns IIRC. That was back when replacing electronics insides guns was common.

“Interesting” is an interesting way of describing button combos that unlocked (way) higher than legal BPS and ramp settings.
