    Max-flo manifold help

    Wrestling with what I believe to be a gen 1 maxflo manifold. This one has two fittings on the reg that go up into the asa.

    When gassed up it dumps gas terribly and I have torn it down, greased and replaced o-rings. I believe that it's related to the two fittings that go up into the asa.

    The front one (towards the adjustment cap) seems to fit snugly. The rear one is a sloppy fit and it seems like the air is venting around it.

    It is also sticking up higher, making the reg rock on it, so tightening the two attachment screws causes the reg to pivot towards the loser screw and maybe the front one is breaking seal. I can't tell which one is actually leaking due to the heavy venting.

    I'd double check the threads to ensure they are well sealed. Then I'd get a new oring on that one. I remember the fit being very tight.

      I'm wondering if I should try to turn the higher one in deeper so the reg isn't rocking in the asa.

        I think I see the problem. Both fittings seal into the asa at different depths and need to be fiddled with to get them both to seal properly.

        Unfortunately for me:
        1- I'm out of gas to confirm
        2- I'm at work and my parts kit doesn't have my teflon tape.
        3- I just ordered a replacement max-flo to the tune of $38 shipped which may have been for no reason.

            I can find plenty of references for the single gas-way from reg to asa, but none of the rebuild guides cover the 1st gen with the two gas ways like I have.

            But after so fussing, I got both adjusted and the reg seems to seal right now.

              Those double gas ways are gonna be the death of me. I can see why they switched to the single with the later generations. I thought I had them sealed up and then when I put paint in the gun I had a major leak spring and it dumped the whole tank.

                Mine has dual gas ways on the manifold, but for whatever reason the one towards the front of the marker is inert, gas only comes out of the first one. Then you just use a plug on the maxflow itself.





                It's worth checking to see if yours is set up the same way, If I tried to use both manifold holes it would for sure just piss air eveywhere.

                  I honestly couldn't find a reason for it to exist and I considered plugging it. But I snagged a vertical max flo off of armory paintball cheapish and it held air. So this inline is shelved for a little while.
