Keep an eye on the goodwill auction site. Spyder victors/victor II pop regularly and don’t seem to ever get bid on. Be aware the shipping may take a 10 dollar winning bid to 30 bucks out the door but may still be a cheap way to gather loaners. It’s also not uncommon to find lots of 5 or so spyder style markers that may be worth looking at.

Yeah this, I've found that bidding on cheap markers on shop Goodwill is best when you can grab a handful of them. I've seen shipping prices as high as $50 on there for a single marker so definitely keep that in mind.

I like Tippmanns, but I'd go for a used Carbine/Pro-Lite/Pro-Carbine before an M98. The clamshell is just too much of a pain to disassemble, clean and re-assemble. I had Tippmann 98 loaners for years while I used a Phantom or a Pro-Lite and the m98 cleaning process is roughly 4 times longer than it is with a Phantom or Pro-Lite and your new players WILL lose that stupid front sight spring that retains the elbow. All my loaners are now FT-12s for easy cleaning and I'm gifting a pair of Pro-Lites to the couple that is hopefully going to let us use their land for an outlaw field.
